I was wondering about the level requirements to do the Famitsu Cup EX missions, particularly the A rank missions.

Does anyone know what the requirements are?

Maybe some people are wondering the same; if they'll be able to take on A rank missions and have a chance at S rank boards.

I'm sure you'll be fine with two of the three characters you have listed in your sig.

I think so too, but maybe people with lower level characters would have the question in mind.

Also, one of my friends is currently level 62, so I'm curious to know if he'd be able to do all or some of the EX missions.

I would recommend that he gain as many levels as possible before the event comes out. If can get to 75, he'll be fine, though he should be able to at LEAST get to 65, which should be alright.

If he's in doubt and worried about not meeting the requirements, then he'd better start preparing now.

??...One can hunt and level at the same time, because by some ODD twist of fate, the areas which drop S rank boards also have the most experience per run......

The only thing is, my friend only plays PSU when I am. He doesn't usually get on at his own time to play with random groups to level up.

Looks like I'm going to have some convincing to do. Although it shouldn't take too long since he got an S rank weapon from me as a gift, hehe. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Wow, only level 55? If you're memory serves you right, then I guess my buddy doesn't have anything to worry about. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Sweet! He can tag along with me and enjoy the hopelessness of S rank board drops! ;p

Not like level matters anyways. You can easily get capped in less than 3 days if you grind nonstop with it. :/

For some that may be hard to accomplish. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I find that time is the biggest factor, while sometimes its boredom.

Exp is 2.5x for the missions in the event.

Aha, so that's what you meant. In that case, very nice indeed.

Famitsu Cup missions need lv55 to run A level. EX missions on the other hand, need an S grade, which in the case of Moatoob and the HIVE is not always possible...

After reading and re-reading the japanese updates and info pages i have came to a specualtion of the release date of this cup in the US/UK versions!

The Japanese had an update of the rest of the nudaiz S2's and Desert GOliath S2 and a new story mission, then another update of the last 3 parum S2's.

on friday we are getting the same update with the nudaiz S2's, and the only other S2's besides HIVE is the parum ones. The Famistu cup is 5 weeks long. If we dont get it then we will be only about 3-5 weeks behind the japanese than, rather than 2- 2.5 months and the release date on the expansion would make no sense unless they gave use really small updates after that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

So keeping on thier schedule they would have to give us something to occupy that 5 week period, if not famistu then just 5 weeks of no updates http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Alos, if they keep their schedule of an update every other week we should get parum S2's on august 10th (same day thier removing nudaiz light festival stuff so that makes sense) then 2 weeks after that would be the Famistu(EGM?) cup!

there thats gonna be as much proof of us getting the event as your gonna get besides sega confirming it themselves!

(You should change your sig Pika)

So the EX missions have different Req to the event missions?
Are both 2.5x exp?
Is it only the EX missions that have 500% droprate increase?

Alkaar
Jul 25, 2007, 10:26 AM
Well, since the EX missions (12 total, 3 per planet and Guardian Colony) are part of the Famitsu Cup event, I think its safe to say they'll have their own level requirements aside from the free missions.

It seems you're asking as if the Famitsu Cup has event missions and EX missions, but they're not two separate mission types. The Famitsu Cup missions are indeed just the EX missions all the way through to the bonus waves. In other words, Famitsu Cup is the event, and EX missions are what we get for this event. If this was not what you were asking, then disregard this.

Also, the 2.5x experience and 500% drop rate increase would be exclusive to the Famitsu Cup event missions.

No. Bonus Missions are the same requirements as the actual missions. If you can access the mission, your level isn't going to stop you from doing the same difficulty bonus mission.

Also, they are two separate missions. You have to clear the actual famitsu mission with a score of at least 8 points (s-rank) to even get to the bonus missions.

Hmmm... I was under the impression that you run through the EX mission and if you score at least the 8 points, you continue on to the bonus waves which are part of the same mission.

No. It's one real mission for each planet/colony. Then a choice of one of 2 bonus missions afterwards if you S-rank it. You can only access 1 planet per week.

On the last week, everything is unlocked along with the 3rd bonus mission.

Thank you for the clarification Shiryuu http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

For the bonus missions, would you happen to know if we're going to be put right into the middle of battle with wave after wave of creatures?

Wave after wave of XPinatas, more like it. Their stats (except STA, I think) are reduced to 25%, their drop rates are increased fivefold, their XP rates are increased by 2.5 times, and they are dumped in a room with you with only a timer (three minutes, is it?) standing in between.

LoL http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif If their stats are reduced by 25%, they'll still have a hefty 75%. But if their stats are reduced to 25%, then we shall all... prepare to dine in hell. ;p XD

Actually Exp is reduced in the bonus missions. A level 30 ageeta gives around 2-4 exp. 2.5x exp is only for the actual mission.

Bonus mission starts out with your party near a recharge cube. Once you open the gate, timer starts and you have to get to the teleporter as fast as possible so you don't waste time.
