It wouldn't work for me, so I can't challenge half of FKL to Puyo Puyo 2. ;_;

Maybe it's Panel De Pon, dunno', though, never played it.

Sayara

Panel de Pon.
Same great game; but with fairies (but the reason i choose this one is cuz the stage for Yoshi (or in this game Lips) music is so much better then for Yoshi.

(they use the Tutorial music for Lip)

Why must they slap their own characters on all the puzzle games? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Sayara
Jul 29, 2007, 05:10 PM
I dunno; I am kinda more likely to of boughten Tetris Attack with Yoshi (or with Pokeymans for that matter) more so then with faires.

DikkyRay
Jul 29, 2007, 05:10 PM
Because we can connect with these characters.
Sorry ronin, but that is not worthy of disapprove. What will sell better? A game with people who we have never heard of? Or yoshi?
I think we know the answer.

Oh but Nintendos > Fairies because of one simple word:
Poochy

I was more disapproving of what they did to the puyo games. >_>

DikkyRay

Slap kirby and Sonic on there?
Trust me. Puyo is only famous here BECAUSE OF THEM.

Really? Is that why we only got it on GBA and only got the GCN version of Fever and not the PS2 or Dreamcast ones? Also we never got Fever Two. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

If they had released it as Puyo Pop to start with then maybe Madou Monogatari'd've stood a chance, what with having the same characters and all. :/

Also, I never saw them make a Mean Bean Machine or Kirby's Avalanche 2. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

Very few of the Puyo games made it over here, but they look so entertaining (have you seen the cutscenes? They're very amusing, even without being able to understand them). http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I will give Kirby's Avalanche credit for not being a completely blatant rip, I've poted a comparison of Puyo Puyo and Mean Bean Machine before, it's insultingly blatant. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Allright, You know why They didnt have sequels? Because first off, Genesis and SNES. those are ps2 buddy.
If it wasnt for Avalanch. Mean bean, and Tetris Attack, there wouldnt be a Fever or Fever two in the US.

no, but there have been a lot of rip-offs produced for other systems. I had one for the playstation, forgot what it was called though. They swapped out the beans/puyos for blocks.

What we need now is Puzzles + Fighting.

Sort of like Chessboxing. (Chessboxing is a real sport, look it up if you don't believe me. You play four minutes of chess, and then two minutes in the ring. Winner gets checkmate or KOs the opponent.)

I think there was also a chess minigame/gametype in one of the Mortal Kombat games. You capture by taking no prisoners and annihilating your opponent. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Tetris Attack is the shit, though I'd need to find a control pad if I hope to play it down here.

The only literal differences are the characters.

that and in Panel you cannot make CPUs player 2.

That's an okay game. I had it and watched many a pawn get Pwned by anybody in the game. The Queen had magic.

That thing on the bottom right of the final score tally screen, catbunny? =*_*=

Hey Haya, no double tacos, jerk.

I know this was discuss already but this is true. One example is the game Doki Doki Panic. Which we know in the USA as Super Mario Bros. 2.

HAYABUSA-FMW-
Jul 29, 2007, 10:27 PM
That game had weird characters like Birdo, that Frog King and, err Luigi.

Weeaboolits
Jul 29, 2007, 10:28 PM
They only did that because SMB2 was "too hard", so they took another game and slapped mario on it so that they could put something out. At least we got shy guys and birdo out of it, though. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
