So just how popular is PSU...in Japan?

I was getting into a heated debate w/ one of my friends irl on the popularity of PSU in Japan. I told him that PSU is Preeety popular over there, but he brushes it off and says i have no proof, so guys! Help me out here! Any source or info on how many peeps play PSU in japan for all consoles combined together would help! Thanks in advance.

Anyway XD! The way I see it, it would have to be pretty popular for them to be keeping it going and making an expansion for it and such.

Most I've seen is the first and last uni full, a couple at 3-4 stars, and the rest at 2. But that's just on world 1. Didn't look at world 2 when I checked this info.

well in japan, i saw a vid that the first 8 servers where 100% full, and the rest from 9-18 where 2-3 stars... so you do the math

Last time I checked, Japan had 38 servers. If they did away with 8, they have at least 30 now I'm sure, just like the Xbox360 version.

Judging by stars NA/EU/whatever pc/ps2 + 360 has around 3200 players max at peek hours. 600 or so from pc/ps2 and 2400+ from 360.

Pc/ps2 highest id # is reaching 39k maybe someone from 360 will tell us their highest id #. I've seen over id # over 140k on JPN PSU pc/ps2. Now I don't know if the retension rates for JPN is higher than our's.

Highest ID I've seen to date was over 57000, but I doubt more than half of those accounts are still active.

What I think they should do it make either PSU or the PSU expansion free, but continue the monthly fee. I'm sure that would bring in a lot more people.

The only thing is to do that for the PS2, they would have to give people free DVDs... and I'm sure SEGA is far too cheap to even consider something like that.
