Storymode extra PA frags gone?

I read that after you get the 10 PA frags for S rank on A difficulty in online story mode, you can get 1 frag for S ranking again. Since I have yet to get any ult PAs, I've been working on the story missions for quick frags. Since it's easy to S rank chapter 2 part 2, I ran through it last night, and S ranked...but didn't get a frag. I tried again, and still no frag. Did they take out that feature, or is it just this one mission?

I know you get the 10 once, but numerous sources say you can get another 1 frag each time you S rank after the 10.

Dunno about that. From what you got, after your 10 PAs, you don't get anymore after that.

You'll have to name one of these sources, because I've never heard of that either until you brought it up here.

I'm pretty sure PSUpedia said that at one time, though it doesn't now. I could be wrong though. At least one person here mentioned spamming Desert's End 2 for frags, but on the Japanese version.

Anyway, I did several story missions today, and the ones I had done before didn't give extra frags. So that answers that. However I did dig up and old topic (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=130050&forum=20) that shows that it was possible to farm frags on the Japanese version at one time, but it was patched before those missions were released on the English servers.

They used to give the 1 frag, but they determined that it made PA frags too easy to farm or something like that.

anyway its one time only, no extra frags after that. I tried it myself months ago and found out id' been lied to. still...easier 10 frags you'll ever get. but once you hit 50, its not lik egetting frags is hard. I'm looking for excuses to spend them now just because they're taking up space. trust me: frags are not hard to get.

If the Story missions gave out 1 PA Fragment on the second and each subsequent S ranked mission, then it would defeat the purpose of them giving out 10 the first time.

Too easy for you youngins that get to play for hours on end maybe. Not everybody has such an easy time of it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif I've been playing almost since release (with a period of no playing when I moved) and I'm only level 60, with 95 frags and 2.5 million meseta.

I'm no youngin. but when you can run an S mission in 12 minutes or run with a group and do S2s in 15-20 WHILE getting exp and a chance at S rank items, its makes little to no sense to keep to yourself running around on times missions for a one shot deal. I run story missions on A becuase its just as hard to run it on C so I see no reason NOT to get the free frags and the better drops. but I wouldn't waste my time fighting lvl 30 enemies for stuff that you can get in such abuncance you consider selling them to the NPC for 100meseta to free up space.
