Phantom of Arkgald, upcoming PSU Anime?

On the JP PSU Illuminus site in the "moving comic" section there is something called Phantasy Star Universe: Phantom of Arkgald. Seeing as its in the "moving comic" section of the site I doubt it is another game or expansion like some are speculating.

Could it be a PSU anime? Isn't that what "moving comic" means?

^ I sure hope not. I think it's the title of "episode 3" of the storyline. kinda how we got ep 2 as story missions online.

Well at the bottom of the page it says its about what happens to Ethan after episode 1.

It can't be the next online story because we won't be playing as Ethan.

I doubt it's a game because it says its a "moving comic".

What is a moving comic anyway? A short anime?

I never really considered the possibility of Arkgald being an anime or something. I guess it's possible. But, we should find out for sure in just a few more weeks. The moving comic page says it will be updated around the last third of August.

I'm still curious how this title will be localized. Mainly because the word I translated as "phantom," genei, has some other meanings, a few being "illusion" and "vision." Well, if it is an animated short of some kind - hopefully they add it to the release of the game. Maybe as an extra disk, ala .//hack.

I remember the thread about having an Advent Children-esque PSU movie. Well perhaps this is actually what we'll get, though more as a Last Order-like plot-hole filler than an Advent Childen-like sequel.

I find this to be rather good news. If done right, a short movie like that could actually explain more of Ethan's motivations, and lead into a much more involving and interesting storyline for AoI and onward. Though right now, it feels like wishful thinking. >.>

It could be something along the lines of Episode III's scenes, except available solely online. Or it could be something similar to this (http://www.halo3.com/comic/) being offered as part of Halo 3's marketing campaign.

A "moving comic" could just be some kind of Flash animation, or they might just create some machinima in-game using the NPC characters. Regardless, I'm sure that Sega's going to be doing this on the cheap.
