August 2007 Day's Finds/Synths Thread

During the heyday of the Phantasy Star Online forums, it was fairly popular to celebrate a high-rarity find by making an announcement thread. After a while, the forum started to become fairly cluttered with such threads. So, a consolidated "Day's Finds" thread was created and became popular. With the release of the a large portion of the 10* and 11* weapons for Phantasy Star Universe, now seems like an appropriate time to introduce a Findings/Synths thread for Phantasy Star Universe.

This thread is a place where you can list any finds or synthesis successes from online or offline mode. Any other related threads will be merged into this one.

So to get things started, here is one my one successful synth from yesterday:

Well...
I'm going to be focusing on shop more than before soon to gain some money, so I'll contribute a lot to this thread since I won't really have time to actually play ( like I'm always afk, of course.)

As of now... I'm hunting psychowand and helping friends but mainly found Materials and only synthed 2 Majimras.

The last of my 4 good light Gigushes made it to +10... the rainbow is complete! Blew up one at +6, the next at +7, the third at +9... the last grind on the last weapon was an all-or-nothing bet, and I won for a change.

Then I ran to the Yohmei shop and had them grind out another Brahoh+10 'cause I was on a roll and nothing could stop me.

I had the most lucky day 2 days ago in the grind bit.
I grinded about 40 times in row with no breaking. O.o
Also the most were in the "high" area and not very high ;P

Didn´t feel to push my luck any longer so now i have around 4 weapons with 6+ grinds on.

Finally after finding 1 dorso every other month I leveled my alt at Dual Sentinal today and got my 3rd Dorso. When S2 comes out hopefully I will be able to complete the other half... and successfully synth it.

A party I was in earlier today found a [B] Majimra (which I got!) from the boxes after Onmagoug on Demons Above S2. (Almost a Kazarod, right? One of the very few times I've ever seen an S-rank board drop.

I have two Phantoms synthesizing and a (light) Zeetline done. Im'a go pull the Zeetline. If it's 50% (from a 100 ranged bot) I'm gonna die.

Sega gave me this for various reasons:
1. I don't use cards
2. I was saying irl "Don't drop Shi-Kikami" and actually meant it.
3. I zero'ed my ranged pm to make another striking pm long ago when making $ was easy.
4. I was looking for something else.
5. My newman FT's PA list is maxed at 36 and have no room for card PAs.

So now I have to waste the last remaining meseta I have to make another range pm (use 6-7 star weapons, I want this done fast). I'll be a sad panda if this fails like my deva-zashi did (due to the meseta loss). But given my irl luck, this is gonna fail also.

This is the key! If Sega detects you want something, you're not gonna get it! If Sega detects you don't want something, you're 1,000 times more likely to get it. Hence why you hear fighgunners getting force weapons and forces getting fighgunner weapons all the time!

Ahh, yes. I have noticed that karma does come back around. One time I gave a friend 50,000 meseta he needed, and told him "don't worry about paying me back" and then I went to buy a 28% ice Muktrand for 490k, but the person lowered it to 100k since he was happy that he made a 50% one.

But for me, I've only done two of the new S2 missions only once. My drops:

Train Rescue S2 (one of the more underrated missions, IMO):

Hapotite (10* material)

Dual Sentinel (this was my first time EVER doing this mission; and I solo'ed it on S2!)

Relic Edge (11* material)

So hopefully later on I will have more to report on.

And why do it seem like that more rare stuff tend to drop on the 360 than the PS2/PC servers?

Today was my biggest synth day ever, 32 Kats were in, 28 of them made it, I'll only post the best 5 though, since the majority were 28% and lower:

44% Fire
38% Light
38% Lightning
30% Earth
30% Fire

For finding rares, me and my crew just got the Mugnuruk (SP?) 10* Spear, at COR S2. It went to me but I gave it to my friend instead, I'm not a FF, nor will I ever be one. He put it in the oven and (I wish he would have made it light since when hives S2 comes out we'll be there forever) made it Ice of course. >_>

And about the use of Twin Daggs on Magas...Hishou is pretty damn good against it, really depends on how good your Daggs are. And yes, Ice weapons...Way too many of them, and with that % you won't be getting much use of it. Congrats anyway though.

Me and my friend found TWO in as many days. The second on the 1st run of on the 2nd day. Sold the second one as I kept the 1st for my FT'r.... and he had found Sori / Tech Charge on his 1st run on MB S.... we were'nt hunting for any of these items though... just shows you! oh yeah... same friend found gi magic ages ago on one of our 1st ever runs on EP!!! We get really lucky with armour/units. BTW in finding all these units we only had 3 luck ONCE... IDT luck really does affect boss drops.

I sold my old Sori/TECH Charged for 4.5 mil and bought my self some 16% Two-Headed Ragnus for 1.9 mil. Ragnus are dirt fucking cheap. Gudda Skela are really cheap too. >_>;

I sold my 44% ground Katsuno-zashi that I made this morning for 5 million meseta. First thing I purchased, 34% ground heavy twins for 1.5 million. Much stronger and more useful than the katsuno-zashi. Anyway, then I bought a [B] Meteor Cannon for 1.5 million. Had 2 million left, so I bought a massive load of Vulcaline, Vestaline, Copernia, Upteline, Neu Ebon, Mot Ebon, Par Ash, and Neu Ash. I also bought 5 more Katsuno-zashi boards, 3 Muktrand boards...etc. So, right now, I'm making 7 Katsuno-zashis, 3 Muktrands, 2 Berdys', and I already made a Soda Crea, Cresaud, 3 Spinatacs, 3 Spearcs, and 3 Mukpearcs. The spears all came out junky percentages so far except for 1 Berdys 24% dark, made for the Adahna Degahna fight when I solo Grove of Fanatics S2. Anyway, I have two more Berdys' to pull soon, then two more to make after that. Then I play the waiting game for another 6:30 hours for all my 9* weapons to synthesize. So anyway, I have about 17 hours for the Meteor Cannon, I just hope it works. I seriously lost my temper after I failed the Meteor Cannoc. Anyway, I'm hoping even more that one of the 9* weapons comes out 44-50%, because if it does and it sells promptly, I'll officially be "rich", as I'll have every weapon I could possibly want and still be 5 million meseta in surplus. This is just assuming that every other 44% 9* sells for that much.

Wish me luck for my Meteor Cannon, I just want it for the sweet looks now, not even so much for showing off.

First of all congrats on your items synth. But I have to stray off topic a bit, but I direct this at you Nyte.

Not much, was just bored and decided to make a quick buck, so I synthed Fluorescent Bulbs, one for each element. My results were:

50% Ice
28% Dark
26% Light
26% Lightning
12% Fire
12% Ground

Sold all except the Ice and Light ones and made around 50K.

Got Shadow to GT from RA1 (almost to GT2 >.<), got fire bow from 6 to 11, lightning bow from 5 to 8, dark bow from 10 to 11, earth card from 1 to 6, earth laser to 2, and that's it. Bullet levelling=cheap and simple.

Found twin crea saber board (twice, but I didn't get 2nd one),
Found more materials for twin tornado (board still hasn't revealed itself to me),
Made a deathmaker (resetting my PM was well worth it),
Made a del jagnus, and
Sold the 9* daggers I got from silly trade (guy traded me daggers and 10k for 7* guns -_-)

And fought jaos three different times today and got fireworks and cash XD
