That is freaky. Both my brother and I did this and both of our cards disappeared.

Oh! I get it now. The suits of the cards changed and a few were taken away.

That trick got me for a bit when I first tried it years ago.

NOT THIS TIME COPPERFIELD! I WIN~!

kinda just skimmed through it, and realized what was up.

A perfect example of 'magic': Horribly disappointing once you (quickly) figure out the (simple) 'trick'.

Good thing I have a nearly photographic memory. I noticed the suits changed right away. Got me for a second or two though.

Neat.

Didn't get me. I don't have a photographic memory, but even I could notice that none of the cards in top frame match up to the cards in the bottom frame. The denominations are the same, but the suits changed.

My card was the Queen of Clubs. There were two of each denomination, so once I noticed there were two Queens in the bottom row (neither of which was my card) and a Jack was gone I knew something was up.

Took me about 45 seconds to figure out, and I spent half of that wondering why "straight" was misspelled.

Prestidigitation is not magic in my eyes.

In any case, all the first cards are gone and have been replaced with the second set. So the mystery still lives, where did the first cards go?

eh, good trick while the illusion lasted, but otherwise fairly simple.
