Zalgoug got hax

ok me and a few friends were spammin Moonlight Beast S2, and every time we get to zalgoug he has this instnat kill attack that U CANT SEE. and wondering how he does this. its right after he back up with his head close to the ground. and btw Rune meadows says hi! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Zoalgoug didn't even get me below 90% of my health when I faced him on S, and that's with my uber low Newearl defense+HP. I don't think he has an instant kill attack.

Still, I don't recall him having an attack where he just stood there and insta-killed/greatly damaged people. I think it might just be a lag issue...unless he gets a "new attack" or something in S2.

Lag + repeated hits while you were lagging = instant high damage when you catch up.

It has been documented since the first day that moonlight beast came out that zoalgoug has some sort of secret set damage instakill for most people attack, he can only hit you with it if you are in front of his chest under his neck. People have posted about it here before, the attack has no animation.

No. He has an instant Death attack where, if you're slashing his breastplate right under his head, he'll rear his head back and nail you hard.

How do I know?

I was playing the first story mission on C with a level 66 Wartecher and he one-hitted me. A level 10 Zoalgoag cannot lag-kill a WT wearing a 20% lightning Yamata-Senba when his hits are doing 3-4 to me!

You'd only get it if you took him on right below his head, though. So just avoid that area and slash at his sides if you're meleeing him.

Wouldn't surprise me, given the fact that Onmagoug's rocks randomly act like Megid. The rock on EP A should not one hit a level 80 beast WT, yet it has.

It's not necessarily an instant kill, just an insane amount of damage.

He has landed and killed members in my party before. He just does insane damage, not really a special move. My advice...try to use long distance attacks if you can.

Actually the rocks Onma throws do not randomly OHK you. Onma throws 3 things, Ollaka, small rocks(same size as Ollaka maybe a bit bigger), and rocks that are damn near as big as Onma. If he hits you with the last one its an OHK although he only uses them occasionally.

No. I've been hit by the HUEG LIEK BAHN rocks several times and not died. I've also been hit with the regular rocks and died.

Or maybe I wasn't paying attention. Afterall, you'd think he couldn't throw a rock downward and behind him, so that the rock actually passes through his body. Well, apparently he can.

It sounds wierd but I know what he means and it is not lag. On the lower levels it just does insane damage. I don't know what it is but I almost got the feeling that he was electrified and when I attacked him I got zapped hard...just a guess though. it is the head-bobbing attack that he does while rearing for the shockwave.watch it from a distance and you will see what Im talking about. he rocks his head back and forth rather strangely it looks glitch-ish but its a head-bobbing attack and it does some pretty gangsta damage.

I've been on the recieveing end of this plenty of times including deaths from it. He can get you with it more than once in quick succession. I think it's a bite attack or something if you're near his head as I've noticed what seems to be a biting animation and a snapping bite type sound. It is hard to notice though and catches you offguard. He also seems to do it if you keep in his face when he backs up from you.

It HAS to be a 1 hit KO; my wartecher had over 1500 HP at the time I was fighting him, he was only level 20, I was wearing 20% lightning with a Mega / Rainbow, AND I had full HP. >_<

The only boss that's truly a pansy in this game is Dimmagolus, he's the biggest wuss among all of the bosses, and maybe 2nd form Dulk Fakis too.

Yes, I was killed by that when I was around lvl 23 and still a hunter. I was at full health and just slashing at him and then I died by what seemed to be nothing. Didn't think much of it though.

@ People who died from getting crushed by rocks by Onmagoug: Erm.. You got squished by a rock rather than shot to pieces/slashed to ribbons/ something exploded right next to you/ a laser beam shot right through you/something charged at you over 30mph and weighing more than a metric ton AND YOU STILL THINK YOU CAN SURVIVE THE ATTACK?!

On-topic: I've had this happen to me as well but since I was a Protranser Lv. 1 at the time, I thought nothing of it! It's the main reason why I love using Grenade Launchers against Dragon Type bosses for the reason they can't hit you so long as you stay on your toes.

You guys are forgetting crits.
It may not initially kill you but if it hits as a critical you're dead.


As for Zalgoug, I've failed the online story mission because of this attack.
I'm pretty sure it's the bite move but I'm not sure.
I just remember getting instant killed at lvl50ish on C.
