GC: Why PSO? Why so great?

I've been playing PSO for a couple of weeks now, and it's getting boring. It's just, based on this website and all the registered users, I thought it would be better. Does online make it that much better? I don't have a modem yet, and I'm having second thoughts about waiting for Burnout 2 instead. What should I do?

Online makes it so very much better. Offline sucks. I think the Hunter's License is worth it.

People are more addicted to the interaction with each other than anything else. Yea, the game can get slow after time, but getting online is the mainstay of the game, hence Phantasy Star Online. And it looks purdy!

I mostly play offline, but then again I play as I browse the internet and talk to friends online. o_O

But yes, online play adds tremendously to the experience. =)

i play offline just to be of help online! without online mode this game sure gets boring (when i think back to first going online 3 months after i bought v1...)

Like the first guy said... Its really boring after you play it long enough... because either its too easy or too hard... for me its just TOO EAZY... the only place where i actually get a challenge its seabed but all around its nothing at all... and almost nobody wants to play seabed... people barely trade since everyone has duped weapons its really gettin corny if i dont hit 150 by the end of the year ill prolly quit i dont know....
