Wow it's literally a moving comic. I like that the designs give more character to them but I hate how Ethan is drawn especially near the end.

About the moving comic..hmmm...I don't know. It kind of makes me wish they just turned it into an animation instead. Some of the things in that comic look kind of cheesy.

Comic = Still images
Moving Comic = Animation?

Just thought they should've made like a series of OVAs for the game, calling them "Episode 1", "Episode 2", etc.

Thing is, actual animation will take alot more money and man power. The moving comic simply moves these still images to simulate some sort of action and camera movments, which is better than looking at anything that's still. Another fine example is those moving graphic novels for Metal Gear Solid they've been putting out on the PSP.

If the moving comic includes voices, music and SFX, then I say its a good deal. If not, well, its more dynamic anyway. I hope this gets translated and place on the US site, since this IS part of the story.

I was wondering this for a while, but couldn't that "Magashi lookalike" actually be Harness, the "shadowy leader of the Endrum Collective"? I mean technically the new evil organization is the Illuminus or something, but perhaps he was pulling the strings from captivity?

I don't know how the rumor over the Magashi look-alike being Olson Waber was started. Phantasy Star draws a lot of inspiration from Star Wars - but even in the heyday of Stag Cutlery and Camineet Storm Trooper they didn't have blatant a refernce. Hhhhhh..Shhhhhhh.. Ethan. I am your father!

Anyhow, chance are that the shadowy Magashi look-alike actually IS Magashi. Considering that Lou calls Magashi a "CAST Clone" in E2M2, and it doesn't make much sense for a CAST to be so intricately involved in helping a Human Fundamentalist Movement to destory CASTs, among other races. The look-alike is most likely the REAL Magashi, and the Magashi we've seen thus far is just a disposable CAST form of him used in the field since in his line of work, he tends to.. well, die a lot.

Cool stuff. Character design looks alot better here than the art of the original PSU (alot of the characters looked..ehm..doll-like). Ethan is an exception. He never looked cool before and the "lulz diz makes me look badass liek Sephiroth" ending shot didn't change that.

The moving comic reminds me of something in a Sega CD game.

Anyone notice the S+10 grinder failing a c rank weapon trying to go 6=>7 on the bottom of the weapon page of the about game section? I have a feeling grinding will suck eventhough they will no longer break weapons.

I agree pretty much with Sinue theory on who AoI's new silvery-haired villain is and who is is not.

Moving comic looks spiffy. And I've watched a lot of old school anime with girly girl characters with voices like Hal's, they've never bothered me and I think it sounds cute.

Hal/Haru is IMO cute all around.
I'd rather listen to her JP voice narrate AoI news than hear Britney Spears, Paris Hilton speak. Ugh.

But a S+10 grinder would have the same chance of success as a C+10 grinder. Rather doubt that's always a 100% chance even now.

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure when I tried some A grinders on a B rank weapon and some of them had higher success than the same + b grinders. I'll have to check again once one of my chars has +3 luck.
