"Shop search functions have been upgraded, now allowing players to search by price, rarity, category and other descriptors."

I'm hoping grind as well... but this will help immensely i can actually search for npc items with out dry-heaving at the "cheap" prices...

I think it's an encouraging sign that they've listened to complaints from the community and are implementing certain changes in AoI because of them.

I know that the lack of options for searching player shops was a sore spot for many PSU players (myself included!). I have hopes that this change will streamline the whole shopping experience and force players to drop their prices if they want to sell their stuff. No more having to go to each and every room looking for decently priced Ortaresins, only to find them all priced 10,000M and higher!

Though it may be harder to beat everyone to the best deals, I welcome this feature with open arms!

Time to gouge the price gougers.

Yes but there should be better deals...it would be nice if they just listed the items in cheapest first order...and then there would be real competition to sell stuff and things priced correctly

Yeah, for example, if you did a search for all shops selling Par Ebon for 4000 or less, the first shop to show up should be the shop selling for the cheapest, then increasing up.

I hope it doesn't allow us to search like this, then randomize the shops on the resulting list, thus making you have to redo your search over and over again, or go through EVERY shop on the list to see who has the item for the cheapest price....

Search Vulcaline Price <7000 none found because people will probably still be retarded.

Probably, but at least it means we can actually find the few smart ones now.

Good, this means our pricing has to be lower to stay competitive. Some people's prices are ridiculous. How do they expect to move anything when you can just search for the best prices anyway? The price gougers just waste your time as you're scrolling through the shops for the item you want.

I also hope the search is more refined. I hate looking for something like a Kikami and come up with a bunch of overpriced Kikamics in my search. Actually this happens for all the Kubara stuff.

heh, I was searching for some good Neu Ebon prices earlier. People's ads say "Cheap prices here!" but you enter the shop and the Ebon is 10x the NPC price. I searched for 30 minutes to get like 6 cheaper Ebons, but I made up for lost time because i was able to find some well priced Kubara wood.

Well atleast you wont hop to more than 20 shops, now you can do that search and hop on down to your local synth shop!

I'm honestly not sure if I'm very excited about being able to search by price. I think a lot of reason you could potentially find any good deal on the shops is because you had to take the time to look for the good prices, so even people who had more money than most others were pretty much on the same level as everyone else.

But because the economy of PC/PS2 is so broken, the people who have money will just grab everything. Finding PM food on the shops will become pretty much impossible - you would have to find the shop in the small space of time after the seller posts the item in their shop, but before any one person searches for it. Price wars will start so the price of photons and synthesis items would go down, but that just means the rich people can eat up more of the market.

Or maybe I'm just being pessimistic. At least it would be nice not to waste time on the 9/10 loser shops that are usually on the list.

Hopefully the new feature will start making people grow some brains and actually check for NPC standard pricing -_-;

Of course we're gonna get a lot of n00b calling when people start searching up someone's shop intentionally for overpriced matierials.

Player shops will become usable again. Less meseta will be destroyed by buying from the NPC, more will be conserved and spread. I won't have to spend an hour farming low level synth ingredients to synth my S ranks. I don't even think there's anything to talk about, the only thing to say about this is either "HEL YEH" or "About ****ing time, Sega!".

It doesn't matter how hard it is to find good deals, I think these few statements are true:

1. It will only benefit people searching for good deals if they can afford it.
2. Prices will shoot up, because more people will be able to look at a specific shop.
3. It will be easier to get more customers to come to your shop by lowering prices or putting up higher percentages.

This is more than welcome by me. I've been selling lots of materials at under 50% the NPC price, but they never get purchased because my shop almost always gets excluded from the search results. -_-

I just hope that shops don't randomly disappear from searches, such as when I "Search for Name" for one of my own shops and it doesn't show up.
