View Full Version : Nanoblasts for a Beast WT...

I've had Vande Val the minute I hit level 20. I haven't even tried any other blast badge. Maybe I'm spoiled at the fact that I'm um...invincible. But it's a bit short. I'm also unsure of the ATP modifier Vande Val gets and how much damage I'm missing out on if I was using say...Adaka Val (power)

Taking into account that I'm a Wartecher (high defense, resta but low ATA), what would be another good blast badge to use?

this has been said before, but I'll repeat it:

All the blast badges increase your base stats. That is, a power beast fortefighter will hit harder than a power beast fortetecher.

WTs have high DFP, and Beasts have great DFP. I suspect you would get decent mileage out of the defense badge if you were to experiment with it.

One thing to keep in mind: as a WT, you are a party healer. if you remove yourself from that equation, not only are you not healing the party, but there is one less person to heal you.

Thanks. I was thinking Defense would work well for WT.

Also, good point about nanoblast eliminating my healing capability for about a minute. If I'm somehow the mainline healer, I'd be a little more aware of when the best opportunity to blast would be.

I'll play around with Defense blast and see if it works for me. I just have to get used to actually getting HIT in blast form lol.

Bear in mind that Boggo Val flips your armor the finger. That is, it doesn't take the elemental coefficient into account. It's not a big deal if your armor isn't tailored to the place, but if you do have appropriate elements, you might end up taking *more* damage in nano form, from technics in partiuclar.

I'd stick with Vande honestly, but you can afford to tool around with Boggo and see how you like it.

My wartecher doesn't use a blast badge. The damage barely out-does PA usage and I find the attack pattern pretty awkward as well as losing the ability to heal and what not. WT does perfectly fine with out it, if you want one I suggest sticking to incicible for dealing damage to large enemies with out having to back off.

Hmm... I didn't know that you lose your elemental defense %... I went invincible badge right off the bat so I'm still not familiar how nano-blast figures out your DFP or resistances. Never been hit or taken damage in beast form yet lol.

during a fast paced engagment, especially the S2 missions, Invincibility NB is the best. Compaired, in my opinion:

Yellow NB: high evasion & accuracy does last the longest but still be hit like 80% of the time anyway!

Purple NB: Good Defence physical lasts slightly less than Yellow but, noticed the damage only decresed by 100-300 still way too burtal.

Red NB: Perfact ballance for Pwnage & lasts long enough. noticed its easier to knock over baddies with ease.

Blue NB: lasts about 30 seconds but Megid-proof & Varha-proof http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif the down-side damaging baddies are significantly weaker & misses high evasion baddies.

One of the reasons I ddi not go WT with beast was the Nano blast issue. That and the 'OMG' low ATA.
