So today is Saturday...

Yesterday was the update...

I have NO idea how anyone can say the drop rates are too low -_-

Oh, I dunno, because I kill 3250 red robots and never see a single 10* bow, whereas my buddies have killed significantly less (probably in the 2700 area because they're not picky about the map and skip some spawns) and they've gotten 4...

I want to start doing some serious testing on a hidden section ID theory. That defies any logical math, without other factors being involved - like him having a "section ID" that favors Grove of Fanatics...

Guarantee this one has been running the mission all day, and more than likely in a locked room so he would get it. And this is the first case. It could just be lucky. Then again, we don't know if this one is easier than Kan Yu or not. We'll find out later on.

Well yes, I did run the mission all day in a locked room. Why not? It's my choice, my money to play the game.... I actually liked Dual Sentinel even before this last update. It's a nice challenge - It's just now more worth it.

I chose Ice element.. I did toy with Light for the aesthetic value (There is just something about saying "Light Saber" that appeals to the nerd in me) but Ice wins every time for where I like to hunt.

Even still, the fact that he has killed considerably fewer robots and has found 4 of them, still shows the drop rate is not OMGWTF terrible.

The "hidden Section ID" theory would explain why I only ever find force S-ranks.

Striking weapons (barring Kubara) have an 85% chance of success.

yeah, i'd wait til after famitsu and aim for enough points ot get that increased synth rate part. you cab bet there'd be shards of FVF all over my floor if a Double Agito failed.

BTW in regards to that comment about drop rates being fine. seeing as how I ran that mission in a locked party with friends all yesterday and we never saw any S rank boards at ALL...and before that ...this same group ran grove for the last two weeks religiously and on;y has one S rank board drop...I'd say the drops rates are pretty screwed up and this guys got damn lucky.

I've never even found an A rank weapon, let alone an s rank. I'd kinda like muzzlefever (yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!). The best item I've ever found was a gaozoran rod yesterday morning. I already sold it for 325K. Then I bought my crossbow and was leveling it (it's already way up there in level[ice]).

BTW, how does someone have an 85% with graters. I have a 100 striking and I have a rate of 79%. The only way I can think of is if they have their striking at 98-99 and are synthing neutral.

It looks more like two or three A rank doublesabers linked together, with real blades at the end. You can't really get much variety from bladed bo-staffs.

no offense...and not to stray too far off topic...but some of us have multiple max level characters and have logged about 3k hours in this game...just to give you some context...those of us talking about these drop rates are talking about fighting ;v; 100 enemies that all have their own boards that they drop...none of which actually do....at this point the s ranks or even A ranks you could possible see drop are so limited, its not even worth mentioning.

The drop rates are fine.....if you don't religiously search for an item...Of course the drop rates are going to seem rediculous if you are running the same mission over and over again. I've seen waaaay more s rank board drops doing random runs with people than when I'm soloing. But the amount of runs are nothing compared to the amount you had to do in psobb. Those drop rates were rediculous. I found psycho wand after my 3000th run; the drop rate was allegedly about 1/1444 or something like that. And good luck with this.

I do appreciate how lucky I am. It's a Pure fluke. Usually I have to go for weeks/months grinding the same missions to get any decent drop... I guess this was just my "time".
