Does anyone know if you can still use the glitch for 100% success weapons to get a high percent. I'm thinking about making twin bearclaws so thanks for the reply.

My opinion states that any weapon which can be "50% glitched" is a piece of unconditional garbage.

yea dude i am "100%" sure its still working...

What is it? How do you do it, exactly? >.>

McLaughlin
Aug 11, 2007, 11:50 AM
If the weapon has a 100% chance of success, and you pull it out with a low elemental percentage, just to the Dashboard before you put in in your Inventory or Storage, and take it out again. Repeat until you have a worthless 50% weapon.

You can also aggravate the hell out of yourself by doing that with grinders.

So basically its the same glitch people were using to keep their boards when synths failed. Good job ST fixing that >.>

PS...just my opinion, but only pathetic players use glitches like this.

I'm sorry to those i offended, i didn't know it was looked down uppon so much.

I can't fathom why people would think poorly someone who has a 50% S Rank because they exploited a synthesis glitch.

You didn't offend anyone, but you're bound to get on someone's nerves, people sometimes get a kick of picking on people who have 50% bearclaws. Someone offered me 50% ice Bearclaws for my Daiga-Misaki and I said "HELL NO"

Eureka
Aug 11, 2007, 01:17 PM
I just don't believe in the "cheat to win" philosophy. You have an S rank, just make it and be happy with whatever % you get. Sorry if it came across like I was "looking down" on you, just don't believe using these glitches to ensure the best weapons or items.

360NyTeMaRe
Aug 11, 2007, 01:20 PM
Well I think it's bullcrap when S-Rank weapons are 50% by a glitch which is 100% successful every time, because it takes away from the originality of having a high percentage weapon, and because 50% bearclaws are so damn common, all the ones which are 12% are "obsolete". I don't really care though, either way, glitch or no glitch, I don't like Bearclaws. I think they're annoying and...annoying. (Yes, I know I repeated myself for emphasis.)

Frankly, I don't like how two people who work just as hard get completely different weapon grades. Why should one get 50% while the other gets 10%? But cheating on an online game is another thing... If anything, though, it does show Sega what we want.

Wait, I thought Xbox had no cheaters? Ooooohhhhh crap.........

But to be serious for a second, this would actually piss me off a little. One of my biggest annoyances in PSO were people who cheated to make weapons at absurd %'s and did way to much damage, making the game too easy, or not giving others a chance to get EXP. So, that sucks IMO.

what happens when this is used on something without a 100% chance? someone said success is determined when the synthesis starts. so wouldn't it also work on say an armor you succeeded on but got a low%?

Mayu

1-99% value is a fixed value -.-

A yes or a No

Dcing and such doesn't affect anything

It already said a Yes or a No once you took it out

100% wasn't a fixed value -.- for some reason

PS2-PC is cured lol

and Confirmed it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Correct

PS2/PC Is fixed and I've confirmed it -.-

Accordingly

The PSU update has to be confirmed by Microsoft or something? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

So 360's still have Death penalty? n stuff I don't know

I don't keep up with it! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Sega sends the patches to Microsoft, which then puts them through the verification process, and then we get the patch. They check them all over to make sure nothing malicious is hidden within the patch.

Sonic Team just isn't kind enough to wait until they can roll out the patches universally, and instead hand them off to Microsoft when they plan on implementing them for the PS2/PC version.

127% weapons in PSO were actually hacked, not just exploiting SEGA's poor attention to holes in the system...

Then you hated PSO. Some folks found weapons with hit % or other great %, some didn't.

Speaking of,I compare this to 'teching' in PSO, but harder, and only usable on 100% items.

I'd rather see more glitches like this, than less. Right now, a lucky 50% can be worth millions, and that seems pretty unfair.

I guess this gives the 360 people something since they didn't change the death-rank thing yet.

I know, and in Dreamcast, since the max was only 60, they edited it so that three 60's would be applied to one monster type. Imagine the kind of damage they put out. I think that was fixed for the GC version, but even still, 100% stats were legit at that point, and people ran around with Turkey Jizz Swords with 100% of each respective monster type.

Glitching in any way(even if it doesnt affect others players and everyone can do it),is still cheating. You are manipulating the game in a way that wasnt intended by the developers.Glitching is no different than hacking.
EDIT: And also this does affect other players. If someone doesnt know of the glitch and pulls out a 10%,Then decides they want to just buy a 50%-They come to your shop and buy your glitched 50%-than you just made millions off of an exploit in the game and overall will affect the economy.

It's not really manipulating the game, since no files are changed, but it is still cheating and it's wrong.

Eureka
Aug 12, 2007, 04:11 PM
Its manipulation, you are using an exploit to your advantage. Just because you didn't alter the system doesn't mean you didn't intentionally misuse the flaw in it.

Well i have no opinion on this topic only wanted to post that ive heard that they will get rid of all %50 twin bear claws from 360 servers so dont bother doing the glitch or buying morbinia, this does however suck for me because i pulled out %50 ice bear claws LEGITAMITLEY, and now alot of people have them, and it looks like it may be taken away from me =<

I guess I am really confused. How can a weapon synth have a 100% success rate? Is that only possible with a pure striking PM? I've never heard of this...

Eureka
Aug 14, 2007, 01:00 AM
The bear claws were released with a 100% success rate no matter what PM you put it in.

Wow, I heard of this glitch but thought it was made it. This does kinda suck for the legit ppl out there synthing thier weapons.
I remembered when i pulled out a %50 Ground NightWalker from my
83 Strk/13 Tech PM and i was sooooooooo happy^^ I told all my buddys and etc and they were like @_@+10. Well, my point is
getting a %50 weapon doing that glitch thing wouldnt give me that
warm happy feeling inside if I got it that way =/ Be happy you
got a S rank or whatever or Rare weapon that no longer drops and just go for it!

I can't fathom how the mere fact someone possesses one of these claws makes them ostracized. It is possible to obtain them legitimately... but I suppose its less and less likely by the day.

I would just feel very uncertain pointing the finger and laughing at someone I "assumed" was a glitcher.

Either way, Bearclaws are useless (as well as worthless).
