Why is it almost everyone left dual sentinel and the new party mission just to go back to labs and hsm? i understand hsm for money but dual sentinel is way better exp and drops then labs in a good group

Its a great shame, its not like its really difficult. If you can find 3 more people its do-able.

dual sentinal sucks. most people hate that mission.

I agree...and I've been saying the same thing in game for weeks. Most of my friends have been swayed to stop doing secret mission and move to other missions, but if you ever want to do the less popular missions, let me know. I hate spamming the same thing over and over. My gamertag is nexgen flux and I am NexGen in game.

There is actually a lot of people right now doing the new party mission. Im here in uni1. But yeah...Nobody is doing De Ragnus...I doubt we'll ever see a double agito lol

Dual Sentinel is a long mission that drains many recourses from players. Numerous Svaltus and Jarba spawns also don't help. The area downstairs just before the boss is also annoying. To many monster spawns, you never know when it will end!

I dunno about Dual Sentinel giving more experience at first I thought the same assuming that it did with all the Polvahras/Svtalus/Jarbas + random cannon fodder which is quite a lot of as well but I only gain like one level the whole day of spamming it nonstop compared to doing an S2 Robot Mission (Desert Goliath, Endrum, Grove, or Train), hell even Parum S2 Relics seem to give better results where I gain 2-3 in levels in the same playtime. I'm guessingmainly because you can finish them with the same exp giveout (if not more) in a much shorter time.

In average random PuGs the times were ranging from 23-40min. The more FOs that were in the party the faster Ragnus went down but the slower everything else, vice-versa with Gunner/Melees.

It's not really challenging unless you get that Svatlus crazy map in a low man party, Ragnus has insane HP and resistance but is still easy.

None of my S ranks drop there, so I have no reason to be there. Still, Ein is hoping for a Double Agito, so I should probably help him out when I get the time.

I've been held up on Train Rescue trying to get my crossbow to drop. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif If I'm not on Train, I'm playing Price of Research to help my friend Sion Karasu get his Mugunruk (and also replenish my funds). Once we've found the Mugunruk and Crossbow... I guess we'll head back to Grove or Demons Above S2..

There are two things I want out of Duel Sentinel, but they're not exactly high on my list. I'll play it whenever my friends are there or after I've found my other S ranks from previously stated stages.

Seeing De Ragnus stomp my ass for 1600 dmg feels great!!! Really, it does!

It's the drops. That's it.

I've been doing Cost of Research for the 10* Spear. Plains Overlord for the 2 Headed Ragnus. Even though I found a Sori Tech/Charge yesterday, I'm not really optimistic about getting rare items from boss boxes or so called "area drops." Finding a Crea Doubles then failing it has killed any motivation to look for a Psycho Wand.

Dual Sentinel is annoying, but no more annoying than any other mission with cheap mobs. And I have a reason to go there. And that's the thing about missions, people go to the ones that will benefit them the most.

That's just the way it is.

I've been on my other gamertag (leveling my 5th char to 50). I only tried "Cost of Research" s2 and that isn't a bad mission, damn those kognads though. I would like to try the dual sentinal, but the train hmm... I still yet to find an 's' for myself besides the daiga misaki given to me by my friend.

Just follow the train route all the way to the end, running the Endrum Remnants mission instead of Sealab mission.

I never really understood "hotspots" I've always done whatever mission I want something from. I've been teetering back and forth from Mine Defense for Ank Bico and Endrum for Muzzlefever/Black Bull if its true that Grinna S drop. Sadly After 5 hours of spamming Endrum my party found Grinna S after I left http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

As far as Dual Sentinal, not too much of anything new drops there that you can't spam for at an easier mission elsewhere. I'll be hunting Cati/Hit though whenever I feel like it.

I true soloed dual sentinal S2 in 1hr and 31 minutes. And I did the map with 10 Svaltus in blk1! How crazy is that?

Dual Sentinal S2 isn't too hard. One fortetecher and one fortegunner is all it takes to dual it. Me and Jife can own Ragnus. We just avoid the map with the Charged blk3 Jarbas, then it's easy.

My question, why is it lv100 enemies when the mission selection say lv110 enemies? Do lv110 enemies even exist?

I went there the other day with my Fortegunner to find only a few parties. I just do not want to solo that mission unless I have more time. Great experience there and the boss isn't so bad if you use ranged attacks. I hate the boss as a fortefighter, but if anything I can get the beast to change up quickly. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

It is also annoying you have to run 2 missions to get there and on a night were you have a limited time I would rather stick to something closer. I will be so happy when we can pay a fee and jump to where we want to go instead of hoping your buddies are there and can invite you over.

Eureka
Aug 15, 2007, 10:30 PM
Nothing they may want though. I know I will keep at it until I see the drop I want. I don't care about the MP or the reward, because I have other missions to run for that. I just want the drop.

I just do the labs a lot because it funds my other missions. This sounds stupid, but soloing the S2 missions I WANT to do costs a lot of money. Soloing Mad Beasts S2 costed me roughly 60,000 meseta because I got the rare map, and had to pay a LOT for traps and trimates, also Photon Charges. 10 Gol Dolvas=BAD. I had to have some guild members come along to help me kick their butts.

EDIT: I don't mind paying that much to do a mission, because it's kind of like research, the more I put into it, the faster it gets done, and the sooner I can play with a sweet, shining new S-Rank.

Actually, yeah, research makes finding the board faster. Unfortunately, all of the research in the world will not prevent that super-rare board from becoming a super-rare monomate. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I personally love duel sentinal. For me being a fighgunner I would love to be the first to have a double agito but alot of my friends don't have the same schedule as I do so I can't get a good team to farm. Plus with ank bico going around I find myself also being turned to farm crimson beast as well.

Aug 17, 2007, 03:43 AM
Many reasons.

1) Drop rates so low for most people that it's easier to just spam high payout ones and buy what you want.
2) The mission is long, and boring. Please don't confuse that with challenging, it's not challenging in the slightest except for fighters at the boss. It has bees, even post-nerf the bees are simply annoying.
3) Even when you approach the mission with the best of intentions on the 360, there's a fairly good chance that you'll freeze on the boss anyway.

Powder Keg
Aug 17, 2007, 05:14 AM

I did this mission with a Fortetecher today and it was quite easy. Except I couldn't use Yak Zagenga with her healing me all the time. I had a little trouble with De Ragnus, I died twice because I was wearing my fire armor and kept getting hit by the ice attack.

You'd be suprised, but using Frozen Shot to shoot the ice-breathing head does more damage than shooting the fire-breathing head. I hit the fire head for 400, and the ice head for 550.
