is $100 enough for gc pso?

I got 100 bucks for christmas from my relatives and I was curious about how much it was in total for ppl to play pso for gc. I have xbox an gc so I could just wait and get the xbox version for $40 and I wouldnt need a keyboard or hl... Also, isnt there a new shipment of pso and modems? what should I get? X_X

Well, me personally would prefer the GC, because not only have none of the release dates been confirmed for box, the box(rumor) may as well have a monthly fee. If that is the case then why wait. That is only my opinion, but you yourself should realize what in fact is best for you, and what you think would be a better move.

oh, sorry, also, the game $50, modem (in chicago) $40. and so that right there is about covered. And of course the fee for a hunters license but I have a month to worry bout that...

If I had an Xbox and somehting else to do (which i had neither) I would wait it out. Hopefully your have splinter cell with that Xbox.

Screw that, wait for Xbox. 50$ for game, if you have XBox Live you'll be set there and u won't need to waste more than 50, given u have Xbox Live, and don't have to pay for a hunters liscense.

But many pl wno't be on Xbx that are here. I'm getting it for gigles. But i'd get gc if i were u and didn't have xbox live. =P theres upside/downside to both

In japan, Xbox live comes with pso so they will probably have more ppl online then in america...

setup fee? almost no provider actually charges a setup fee... just check broadbandreports.com for the many in any area that don't charge one... funny how the near minimum cost for a dialup ISP is used, but not the minimum for broadband ISP, which is $39 for cable in several places..

counting the xbox live fee is sort of shady... wht not count the telephone used for dialup on GC? oh wait! you use the phone for things other than PSO? same goes for LIVE...

Thats pretty bs info if you ask me. My bb isp sets up ISP for free+GIVES u modem.

As well the 10 56k isps sometimes dowt allow gamecube to connect to their servers =P

anyways that said...even if companies charge setup fees...you can get around them by doing it yourself...most cable companies will then send a guy out...he will flip a switch and plug in a splitter...then he will set up a cord and everything for your new cable modem...then if you actually have problems(which you shouldn't cause it really is easy)you call tech support...they ask if you have paid for it when you say no just say look i followed the instructions and it still won't work..surprisingly most tech people will hook you up...

now as for xbox...no doubt i will be there...but i got it for gc too i mean it really is a good game...and i am not even online yet...i would suggest getting it for both if you can handle the cost...i mean even if you spend 100 on the game and modem and a couple months of the hl...in the at least 3 months for it to come out on xbox you can make 50 bucks...wash your parents car, mow the lawn, babysit...there are plenty of ways...oh and as for the person who said not a lot of people will be online...that is kind of funny...xbox online is a complete success in america...tons of people have it and i know tons of people are probably looking forward to the game...so trouble finding people? i think not...if anything there might be a problem finding people on gc due to the modem shortages and game shortages...oh and an hl fee for xbox live hasn't been confirmed yet...or even said...then again not much HAS been said those news holding bastards...anyways i am getting gc and xbox versions and if i actually do have a problem with the xbox version...i can always take it back(my video game store has a great return policy)that way no loss either way...but i do agree you have a lot of stuff to keep you busy for 3 months till the game comes out lol...if you haven't played metroid or RE maybe you should do that first hehehe...then if you find yourself getting bored...switch to all of your xbox games...and finally last resort get it for gc...by that time i have a feeling that the game will be out even if it takes 6 months hehehe...anyways good luck with your decision
