i'm seeing a lot of these 'buff parties' what exactly are they for and what's the protocall for joining one?

They are partys for buffs....

u join the party if u need to lvl up your buffs.

all they do is stand by the recharge cube and repeatedly spam their buff spells.

The requirement for joining one is that you have to be able to withstand the absolutely grueling nature of standing in one spot repeatedly spamming the same techs forever! I've stayed far far away from them.

It really is a nice way to level your buffs, especially if you get six members.

Ya, word to the wise: You wont lvl buffs at all by just using them in typical parties, and if you're gonna give players any buff, you might as well make it the best you can. Buff parties sare there for a reason

Also, if you join a buff party and you can't use techs (HU,RA,FG,fF,fG,PT), 100% of the time you will get booted. Those parties are not meant to be a hitchiking party.

Alternatively, get two NPCs together (or some friends who don't mind AFKing) and level your buffs like you would AFK-level bullets. Goes faster than you'd think.

People actually talk during these? I would just figure they'd get turbo and go AFK for a few hours or something, LOL

it's much faster to recharge and keep spamming, if you can endure the torture.

the torture isn't that bad...try lvling debuffs with no turbo controller and the only person to talk to are a bunch of pannons *random pannon walks up and motions something* no way she really said that...umm...sorry private conversation hehe *runs off*

I levelled mine on my main to 11 (for WT, although i sort of gave up on that class) in Eastern Peril at the cube in block 2. 5 Ageetas for your debuffing pleasure.
