TAILS SIDEKICK SATURDAY FOR THE PS2/PC

Do you have what it takes to mentor a young prodigy in the ways of the GUARDIANS? Or are you fresh out of the academy and need some experience out in the field?

Every hero needs someone to watch their back, be their friend, or to just provide some comic relief -- which is why, starting the first Saturday of September, there will be a new regular event for the PS2/PC: Sidekick Saturdays!

We're calling on veteran GUARDIANS to take this opportunity to help train the next generation of heroes by seeking out beginning players and teaching them some tips and tricks for running missions and fighting monsters. Although we encourage this level of commitment, all players who enter the game anytime Saturday September 1st will be rewarded with a Tails Statue room decoration later in the month for their participation in this event.

Phantasy Star Universe Demo Weekend Promotion

Sure they will, they'll hold out on giving us AoI if it means milking out this version as much as possible before giving us something new.

Maybe the Sidekick Saturday is also SEGA's attempt to bring in new players by advertising they will get some help from experienced players and a room decoration. Though I wonder if it will really work all that well considering that it is only on their official PSU website they are doing it and so soon, so will it even really reach enough people to considerable raise PC/PS2 population. But I digress.

There is a conflict with updates and the release of AOI for NA with the currecnt update patterns.

10-19 New Clothes and the last 3 -atacker suvs. They might mix up some content of these two updates.

11-23 Dulk Fakis co-op
11-30 One year event missions start?


I'm sad to say one remedy of this conflict would be not to have the cup event and push up the rest of the updates by 5 weeks.

They are just appealing to your better nature, but you don't have to do anything. Over on the 360, the unspoken idea of old hands playing the demo is so they can show new players the ropes; some do it (I've done it) most don't, and we all get the item.

Still, for you guys with your chronic low population, actually finding a newbie and taking him under your wing that saturday so he sticks around is in your best interests.

Why is everyone so pessimistic. We didnt completely fail firebreak. we got about 75%. And we got enough for the frying pan. And we saved Neudaiz. It was about 60% complete. We failed. Too many n00bs didnt want to leave neudaiz and too many idiots were jao hunting. Only one planet was purified....TO 300%...I dont even think the other 2 reached 50%. I forgot.

Well, I have a Tails room deco to look forward to. Unfortunately, IF Sega were to get new players to play, we might be lucky enough to keep the population at an even pace, due to the fact with school in session, and people disappointed and not playing as much due to not getting Fami as far as we know (myself included.) >< We'll I guess we'll just have to make due with what we can.

Btw, I totally agree with Sega not marketing this game right. Good thing I wasn't a head honcho of some sort, because all those idiots would be fired for not advertising this game to a high degree, well on the PC/PS2 side anyhow. It could have been the same with 360 as well as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, I guess in the meantime, I'll just stick with my usual World Tours.

It's about the only dumb thing on LIVE (besides 99% of the users, I mean). You don't need a Gold to play PSU, but you need it to get the demo. WTF?

Interestingly enough, if the demo's already on the HD, you can play it with a Silver Account. What does this mean? Well:

1. Don't get the Gold account.

2. Get a friend with a Gold account to DL the demo.

3. Transfer your GT to his 360.

4. Play and get the goodies!

5, Restore both GTs to their proper 360 when done.
