I will be hosting a TA event on behalf of the new Guardians United community. It's time I myself do something for our community, and from my past experiences, TAs are lots of fun. This time, it's going to be at a time more friendly towards UK players and US players alike. And with bigger prizes than last time!

Rules:
You put together teams of up to six, and you race against other teams through various missions to reach the end lobby first. You may use any race/class combination as you like. There's going to be four rounds, and the team with the highest points at the end wins. Just like the previous TAs, scoring goes like this:

1st: 10 points, 2nd: 8 points, 3rd: 6 points, 4th: 4 points, 5th: 2 points, 6th: 1 point, 7th and below: you die IRL.

There will be two brackets for this TA event: a level 75+ bracket, and a level 1-74 bracket.

The 75+ bracket will be doing S2-Rank missions. The rank of the 1-74 bracket will be determined by the lowest leveled competitor in the TA, so expect C rank missions.

When your team reaches the end lobby of the round mission, someone from the team must say "arrived" to confirm completion.

There will be staff to prevent cheating. Don't even try or you're disqualified.

Where to meet:
The 75+ bracket meets at Universe 9 fountain in Floor 1 of the Guardian's Colony, which will be run by me. (My character name is Aeryn)

The 1-75 bracket meets at Universe 7 fountain in Floor 1 of the Guardian's Colony, which will be run by Ruby Eclipse.

Try getting there 15 min early so your team can get registered and such.

Do not spam the lobby up. If you do I will blacklist you and when you say "arrived", I will not hear you. Which could ruin your scoring.

Time Zones: 6PM Eastern is also 3PM Pacific, 4PM Mountain, 5PM Central, and 11PM GMT.

Prizes:
75+ Bracket: First place team gets 1.5 million meseta. Second place team gets 900k meseta. Third place team gets 450k meseta. All other teams get 90k meseta just for entering.

1-74 Bracket: First place team gets 1.2 million meseta. Second place team gets 600k meseta. Third place team gets 300k meseta. All other teams get 60k meseta just for entering.

I think that's just about it. Feel free to ask any questions, comments, and concerns.

Sounds interesting but is there going to be any protocol to evenly distribute the levels of the participants, after all, a group of 90s has a better chance than a mixed party.

Damn, that means I need to wake up on my saturday morning, before 9 AM!

Ah well, alarm clock time....

This is just for PC/PS2 right? Cause that's my server.

Fure: there may be a bracket for lower leveled parties but there's no way I can think of some fair protocol to distribute levels.

Kairi_Li: yes. *adds tag to topic*

I do like competing in time attacks for games, fun to learn new tactics http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif My only negativity is the rewards, 1.8 mil for 1st place? And no doubt the reward will be destributed among each player right? Bah, I can get 2.4 mil right now if I go make A grinders but oh well, getting the best time attack score is enough i suppose http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I really wish I could attend, but last time the server crashed due to all the spamming (wow, noobs are noobs even at high lvls). Not to mention I'm on the PS2, and it lags alot more than the PC, which in the end can affect how quickly my party executes the mission.

The rewards are kinda biased, since the party who finishes first probably has the highest lvls and best equipment... >_> Nonetheless, its a fine idea to bring players together. o_o;

Best of luck to you time attackers!

It'd be nice if there was a lower level bracket... (Because if there hadn't been one the first time... Well, I would've have won it, now would I? XD)

I shall be available for staffing and whatnot, so I'll probably be helping Ruby with the lower bracket. But I'll most likely be there, so hooray.

ok so let me get this straight, say u have 5 lv 70's and 1 lv say 10...does this mean u do either a C or B run. and say u go up against a team that has maybe 6 lv 70's they all do S...i believe the B or C team will win....i hope theres some kind of balancing here cause i see that a way of cheating and not the kind that can get u disqualified. anyways cool idea http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Okay, lemme make it more clear.

There will be TWO separate divisions. One in uni 7 and one in uni 9.

The 1-74 division will be competing among themselves in lower rank missions.

The 75+ division will be competing amonng themselves in S2 rank missions.
