Is it being removed next update or any time soon? I'm just curious because I'm kinda surprised it's taken so long since it was already done on the PC/PS2.

I've not heard anything about it so far, so I'm just trying not to die. (Y)

No word yet, but I've heard it can take MS 1 to 1 1/2 months to approve patches for unpopular games.

If this were GoW, we'd have our patch already!!

Unlike content updates, I believe the Japanese Xbox 360 site tends to inform us about client updates after they've been put into place already. (Curiously enough the Japanese 360 version is on version 1.0002 while the domestic version is 1.0003. I'm guessing this is because, as the JP 360 version was released later, that their disc is actually equivalent to our 1.0001 update.)

Maybe they will just sneak it in there one day...Like a ninja!

Whenever it is, it will be a sad day.

Nowadays, if somebody dies, they tend to stay down, quiet, ashamed they died because they know they just downgraded the party's score, and grateful when you revive them.

Once this unwanted (by me for one) patch comes in, we'll have all those people yelling their heads off on their mic, demanding they be revived. Just one more way the horrible reality of the 360 population will shine through.

Or just tell them to stfu and boot.

And then take a reduced rank for booting someone before reviving them.

I can't wait for the redone death penalty.

It will give Moon Atomizers more worth than just PM food and GiResta will actually become better than Resta and be worth the PA frags used to purchase it.

I believe the death only counts if the user returns to the lobby first. If he's removed from the party beforehand, it doesn't count.

its only going to be a problem to those who abuse it; as in 'oh i can go head-first into a jarba; sumone will revive me anyway!'

It's also going to be a problem because now there will be one more reason to go around naked and without armor or any kind of heals, just so you could buy "the biggest weapon". It's going to be a nightmare.

Personally I think it would be better if they use the PSO Respective Tomorrow quest deaths.

For each party member in the team they can die once. Any more deaths and you miss out on the S-rank.

The death penalty that PS2/PC users have sounds like it's too easy.

None of that happened on PC/PS2, I don't see much of a reason to believe it'll be an epidemic on our servers.

PC/PS2 isnt PACKED w/ ppl that dont care.

With no due respect, as far as I've noticed you're the only one who doesn't seem to care about... anything, really.

Seriously though, I don't suddenly see a bunch of kamikaze runs going down. The average 360 player is far too "serious business" for stuff like that.

and as for the care comment; you are right.

ThEoRy, if you tell on us, we tell on you! That's ninja code!

But there are other nifty parts of that update I am more interested in, like monster speed decreases (I like to use Ra-TECHNICs A LOT) and the NPC/PM thing where their deaths don't count anymore.

I just don't know how the 360, which has a harddrive that could hold this data, doesn't have this frikkin data in it yet.

PC/PS2 is not full of kiddies.
