I'd be a lil peeved since I want that clothing, but tbh, I don't give a damn. I'm waiting on AoI anyways and only play PSU every so often. No really, the other reason is because I'm into other games atm. And besides, I got everything I want in PSU currently so the next big update with lvl 100 cap then rest of ult pa, etc needs to come for me to be considered active.

Personally, I hope Sega JP (since they seem like they control the na updates anyways) add lvl 100 cap and ult pas early. I'd say f' famitsu after that.

I think the 360 community will take it worse than the ps2/pc community though if we don't get it. I'll be upset because we're missing out on alot. fire break was fun and it got people to play and there were parties available for every level range.

famitsu especially, be nice to be able to get items like units, S ranks and alot of cash for casual players who have other things to do than play games all day. also massive amounts of rappies combined with EX rounds and team work add fun too that. I won;t complain too much if we don't get it as long as ST catches us up with the JP updates, and maybe did a fix drop drop/synth rates.

Such a post clearly shows blantant disregard for the masses. The majority of people who play any video game (PSU included), are casual gamers. First and foremost, this game needs a community that's actually pleased with what Sega is offering them. If Sega doesn't cater to what everyone wants, why the hell should everyone support the game? Dedicated or not, Sega should keep us in the game and the Famitsu Cup is a really good ploy to keep their VERY patient fans satisfied.

Well, I could possibly quit PSU until the expansion. Because Famitsu would really be the only thing worthwhile that wouldn't be on the expansion. People that know me get worried if I'm not on for a single day because I'm rarely ever not on at least once per day, and I let people know in advance when I'm leaving town. With that in mind, it means that Sega has no obligation to bring us the Famitsu cup. We may get the content in another form, but that is not a guarantee.

Well, it's like I said in one of the other "zomg famitsu" threads; it will likely depend on whether or not Sega can find a sponsor for this cup. That's how things went in the past for PSO, right?

Speculation on account of "will we get it or won't" is rather pointless, I agree. On the other hand, discussing whatever factors may influence the decision to bring the event over I see worth in ... well, discussing.

So long as it's not spread out across enough threads to fill a novel.

That said, I didn't know that Operation: Firebreak was done purely because it was sponsored. From the way it sounded, the JP Firebreak just had sponsoring on the side by Netcash with additional prizes for participating. We didn't get those.

So yeah, Firebreak felt like a pre-planned event they would do whether or not it had been sponsored. Famitsu Cup, though, that's all too obviously tied to Famitsu. That's why I thought back to how Sega treated Famitsu events in PSO, ported across the pond.
