I'd say no, but a lot of people seem to level up that much in like, a week, so I dunno.

But, say for example, if you're going back to school, it'll certainly slow down the process.

No, it's not. I have a 360 too and a level 40 and 35 on 360 PSU before I realized how much I like the PC/PS2 servers better.

I would definitely try to break away from the PS2 version because of the horrible weapon lag/unloading, slowdown, and just overall horrid graphics. So I wholeheartedly recommend moving up to either the PC version or the 360 version. On the PC version (depending on the specs of your PC) you'll get much better performance, faster and more reliable loading, high resolution, the ability to save chat logs and screenshots, etc. Not to mention that you get to keep all your character's progress and can use your X360 controller.

The 360 version has a more living-room friendly setup, decent resolution (if your TV can support it), the convenience of live integrated friends lists, a larger population, less risk of cheating, as well as also solving the problem of techs unloading. However, there is still quite a bit of slowdown and you won't be able to transfer over any of your progress.

In the decision on which platform you should upgrade to, the choice is up to you and dependent on your personal choice and available hardware.

what exactly do the PS2/PC servers have on the 360? Just faster bug fixes?

For one, we have the death penalty change. But other than that... I can't think of much.

go 360 i say, as said before less if no cheating, mic option (i stress the option part), the only problem is the loss of data since u will be from scratch....... but thats not a problem really is it??

but is is your call in the end

Sinue_v2

The servers themselves? Not much. There's more released content for the 360 version, but there's other things like the removal of the death penalty (depending on how you view that change) to balance that out.

Although, on the hardware side again, I will say that having custom soundtracks on the 360 version is nice as well, we can effectively do the same thing on the PC - but it takes a bit more work. Playing soundtracks on the 360 can be equated to running Winamp or something in the background. However on the PC you can actually replace the in-game music itself. Not as easy to customize as the 360 playlist, but it "fits" much better.

Really it comes down to:

Community: The 360 by and large, wins.
Performance: With the right PC setup, the PC wins.
Convenience: The 360 wins.
Versatility: The PC wins.

So pick your preference... performance and versatility, or convenience and community.

mic option (i stress the option part)

Skype, Teamspeak, or Ventrillo compensate for that. But as said, it takes more to setup.

If I were in your shoes I wouldn't bother, but thats because it takes forever for me to level.

700+ hours on Chi alone to get her to 82

Community: quality = PC quantity = 360 ... having a bigger community does not make it better v.v

also 360 doesn't have "more" content. It has several items that you can't get anymore and may not be able to get in the future. those items are all being released on PC/PS2 ver coming up, but they are not "content"

So a con is that you may never get the "extra" content if you switch to 360

a pro however is that you may be able to get all the things you've wanted pretty much since the 360 economy has more rares being sold and the fact is you are not even half way to 90 yet.

Really? Im pretty sure I can take 3 characters to 90 on the 360 version in the same amount of time it took me to get one character to 86 on the PC version(744 hours).

Bigger community dont meant better, but speed of progression damn sure will be.

Yeah they do. They have the Relic Gun and their Newmans can summon De Ragan and their Humans can drive tanks at lvl 20. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

I'd stay with the PS2 because of the work you have already accomplished.

i had a lvl 52 and 2 lvl 3X's when i switched. my laptop sucks @ psu and my ps2 sucks more, so the onry thing i missed was a few mill and 9*'s i had on ps2. seems like i leveled faster on 360 though. probably cause i knew what i doing then.

I think you should just have all 3 versions...

Playstation for playing online/PC for taking pictures.
Xbox 360 for playing that version online.

Just make different characters! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

That's what I plan to do...

After I buy my Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 (of course).

I'd put it down to how much you value your friends on PSUPS2.
If you like playing with a group of people regularly, then don't switch.
If you don't have anyone like that, then sure, consider switching, but remember you've probaby put a lot of time and effort into raising two characters like that.

I didnt switch, but I do have accounts on both servers because I have really great friends on the ps2/pc servers that i play with regularly when im online. However, i can agree with the 360 being a tad bit more convient as far as lvling for some reason.... I maxed out a character on 360 in about 400+, whereas on pc im not maxed yet but i've clocked in over 1000+ between 2 characters. But when it comes down to it, the decision is yours. However, If I were you and I didnt have really good friends as a reason to stay on the ps2/pc server, I would switch to 360.

I'm staying out of this one. Arguing with Durakken isn't worth it.

If you have good friends, don't bother. If you don't, consider it.

Either way, get Bioshock. >_>

Depends on how much you play.

And how much you like your characters. I wouldnt mind starting over, because there is nothing good in this game anyways. Other than the exp, not a whole lot would be lost.

Plus starting over is just fun. I remade my lv 50 Fortetecher just because I wanted a female (FOnewearl outfit in AoI).
