Sortof two questions here:

1. Are there any problems using the Nintendo 251 memory card with PSO? (Such as character corruption or the like.) Is the limit for this card 4 characters?

2. Seeing as I have a GC now, and $50 from Christmas to spend... I can get GC PSO. But I don't want to go online with it just yet. I mean, I WANT to be online, but I'm waiting to see how the Xbox version turns out first. I will likely be getting the Xbox version and playing it on Xbox Live, barring any major problems with that version. So I'm kinda debating whether it's worth it to buy PSO GC now, play offline, and then buy PSO again to play online on Xbox. I guess this is largely something I have to decide, but input is welcome. Otherwise I could look at getting Animal Crossing, Sonic Mega Collection, or Rogue Leader or something, to start building my GC library. (Already have Metroid Prime.)

I second the get Animal Crossing, especially if you already plan to get it on XBox. It's a waste to buy the same game for both systems.

I agree with the two members above, spend the $50 on a different GameCube game or save the money. At this point just wait for PSO on Xbox since I assume you already have a Live account.

I haven't gotten Live yet. I'm waiting until PSO arrives. Mech Assault looks like it could be fun... but there aren't that many Live games I'm really interested in yet.

I know some people have said they are having problems with this memory card, but I personally am using it and have not had a single issue come up. However, yes, the limit for any normal GameCube memory card is four characters. If you have a third-party card with multiple memory banks, like how the Dreamcast's 4x Memory Card was, then you can have four per memory bank.
