Using ATI all-in-wonder 7500. It uses a dongle with a long cable, so results will vary on a real TV. Someone posted asking if a TV card is worth it, and I say: Worth it for pictures and not having to buy a brand new TV. I could just spend money on a good s-video cable and the capture card, and keep my old crummy TVs =>_<=

Hmm, to my eyes, the Monster one looks a bit better... >.>;
Maybe I should order one and do some comparison screenshots. I have the nintendo.com s-video cable...

*looks at B* Oh god my eyes NOOOOOOOOOOO. I use a interact s-video cable and a ATI all in wonder radeon 7500 but for some reason my shots never look as good as snapples :/

Except the price difference between the 2 leads is about $20 for very little difference.

I own the monster s-video cable that just goes to the TV directly. From looking at the screens for Nintendo and Monster, I would agree with the assessment that the only difference is price.
{Side note: I'm quite amused that the Nintendo Store doesn't support Netscape 6.x and tells you this.)

I see one difference, brightness.
Why not just adjust that on your TV/CRT?

the nintendo s vids actually seem better to me because of the resolution. the monster cables show clipping and jaggies that the quality of the nintendo cant pick up. a somewhat poorer quality cable adds a bit of anti-aliasing.
to see what i mean, look at snaps outer thigh. jaggies are worse with monster cable.

If anyone's still using a composite signal with a capture card, I will personally have to slap you..

BTW, I just checked. In terms of quality, there's no differnece between the pictures of cables a and c. It seems that it's just a waste of money to switch from Nintendo's S-Video cable to the monster cables. That could be due to compression artifacts, but I don't have uncompressed image data to base these results on.
