well, sega says it'll support any isp that have PPP (point to point) connection enabled, basically thats any isp, except for AOL,MSN, ect... not so sure bout MSN, but its in the same class as AOL, anywayz; my point is, find out if your isp support PPP and your all set.
as for free isp, i.e. netzero, juno, ect. if its like the way it was when i played the very first PSO for dreamcast. your gonna have to decode your password, or the game won't recognize it. don't ask me how as i forgot and i never will do that again. i have <broadband> ;P. hope this help!

AOL:no work(wheres that $25-30 going to?)
Netzero: buggy? sometimes doesnt work?
MSN: maybe?(not sure)

oh, and dun make me even more sad by talking about broadband...wahhh....not fair...stupid cheap parents...and whoever plays PSO with a dial-up connection, please tell me the ISP you use!

MSN will work, although you'll have to fill in your username as "MSN / username", without the spaces and the quotes. Earthlink is a dial-up ISP I recommend. You can use Juno and NetZero, but yeah, their connections will be iffy.

alright...thank you everyone so far for the information you have given me...so far, my list goes:

AOL: dont work...(and just WHY do we pay 25 bux a month for it?)
Juno/Netzero: Buggy from what ive gotten, sometimes doesnt work
MSN: will work, but need to put MSN/username...
Earthlink: from what Tavia said, it will most likely work

if there are any ISPs that anyone can confirm works or doesnt work, please post it! Thanks everyone! Hopefully i might be getting online soon (if i can get rid of AOL)

Really, every ISP can work, depending upon what you want to do and how much money you want to spend. It's recommended that you get an ISP like BellSouth, Earthlink, or MSN, if you're dealing with dial-up and want the easiest configuration possible. If you're getting a broadband ISP, you want to have them provide you with an ethernet compatible modem... USB modems are a pain. You can read more about this in the Technical Support FAQ in the forum, if you want.

Not a problem. It's actually in this forum, the Tech Support forum.
