I'm going to do it! Create a CAST. What do you think?

I have only EVER had one cast, he was one of the last characters I EVER made on PSO a few years back, he got to level 86 and kind of is still there:). It was the targetting thing that got me, I hated the fact I could not aim manually. Whuilst being able to hit something a mile away I could somethimes not shoot something a foot away. Of course on PSU this is all fixed now!

I having ne umming and aring about the name, I just hate recreating characters and like to get their name/look right rhe first time... especially after the problems I had with my main's voice choice(I relised too late he moes...).

So I am 99% set on Davros after the leader of the Daleks on Dr. Who... classsic TV series maybe not so popular in the US. I always loved that scary SOB as a kid.

If you know anything of the Daleks you will know that they are a technologically advanced race with only one aim, Dalek rule of the entire universe. The believe they are the ultimate species. That sort of fits in with the PSU scernario*waits to get's chastized for comparing CAST's to Daleks*

I also think that becuase of the way I could make up a cast, I could get a very Davros looking CAST(minus the bottom half).

Hehe, even when I get the SUV there are a hundred quoted I could pull from the TV show.

Just looking for ideas when I create the guy as I have never created a Dalek CAST on PSU and really don't want to be re-creating again. Natuarally I will be using this guy to make my last 100% PM!

I'm trying to create a cast that looks like Davros. At least the top half. I am a big fan of the TV series.

It's too bad you can't make one look like the human Dalek Sec. That was a great episode

(Admittedly, I've only watched the newer seasons, but loved them; I don't want to get attached to the older stuff simply because of how much there would be to catch up on!)

Considering that CASTs defeated the human nations of Parum in the five-century war between the races, and now control the entire planet as well as dominate the Gurhal system's Alliance Military Force, I think they haven't failed at all. At the time Phantasy Star Universe takes place, Humans are on the bottom rung of Gurhal society with no planet to call their own, despite having birthed the other three races. GUARDIANS Colony is the only respite they get from discrimination.

It's no wonder that a lot of humans in the GUARDIANS are annoyed with President Dallgun's zero tolerance policy against the Illuminus, since they're trying to restore human dominion over the other races and the entire Gurhal system ...

Of course, it's not so accurate to assume every CAST you meet is a racist, either ... In fact, the CASTs in the GUARDIANS and Communion of Gurhal are hated by a lot of Parum CASTs; they see them as tarnishing CAST supremacy by daring to associate with and work alongside the lower races as mercenaries or clerics.

Casts are great, I've had a few other support characters but my main character in PSO and PSU has always been a Cast. The good thing about them in PSU is you can be a fortefighter, fighgunner or fortegunner and still be a pretty efficient killing machine regardless of what class you choose, people say Cast fortefighters don't work but I rarely meet people who can do as much damage as quickly as me.

Personally I think you should call your character Dalek Sec but each to their own, I like to name all my characters after mythological characters or creatures, it's something I've done since PSO on the Dreamcast:

Bellerophon, Agamemnon, Heracles, Hades, Poseidon , Artemis.....

If you see a Cast on 360 called Bellerophon, that will be me, I've even named my PM Pegasus.

Nobody won the 500 year war I thought. I thought that Casts were human's servants and worked with humams rather than agianst them(hence the maid outfit, etc), the AMF was set up by Casts(is the Cast army). To that end the Casts are just pissed that humans used them as cehap labour. As I remeber in story mode it refers rto that time were Cast's were the 'working class'. The reason Humans and Casts live togther is just becasue that has been the tradition since humans used Casts as servants, not because Humans had no-whee to go(I could be wrong but thats how I understand it).

Serious, I like all the races. On PSO I did not like any ranged weps. Why? Well because nthe 'aiming' was just so darn unpredictable. They were easier to level up. They seem great to play though.

Apparently I hear in AoI Humans are going to be beefed up a bit. Thats cool as I have not been to impressed with them on PSU up to now. Though I also hear that Newmans are going to have their power 'cut'. Bah, I hope thats not true.

As regards Davros, he's looking good. I just need to find some 'parts' that make him look the rwal Davros(see above)... a black trenchcoat would do the trick but it's just parts:)

I wish so to. I could get a much more accurate likeness to the real Davros if there was such a style. I just had to use the most minimal one and try make it the same off white colour...

As far as I understand it, the Alliance Military Force was created at the conclusion of the 500 year war. It's supposed to be something akin to NATO in real life and contain a mixture of representatives from all three planets, but in practice CASTs make up around 90% of the AMF. The few humans (and probably other races) in the AMF are discriminated against; Ethan meets a human AMF soldier who eventually reveals that, despite being a former Guardian, he is relegated to "coffee carting" duties at AMF HQ.

As for the 500 year war itself, I'd say there were definitely winners and losers. CASTs, Numans, and Beasts won their freedom and sovereignity at the expense of humans, who pretty much lost everything. The whole treaty that was signed 100 years ago created the AMF; I don't know if that was the point of time where CASTs took control of Parum from what remained of the human nations, but it probably happened just before or at the same time.

I used to be scared $hitless of that guy like 25 years back... that voice like a screaming maniac. Now I think he's kind of cool.

OIh I like my CAST. I like all the races. What REALLY makes CAST's for me(and Ranged jobs) is the fact you cn maunlly aim.

I can't wait to try him as PT, I have been in AWE of those traps for a while. For some reason I never thought of trying PT on my other guys... it just didn't seem, well right:). Main class well be FG.
