I'd say it's some kind of hard material. From the box it comes in, it's either that or an ore and you generally don't find ores in boxes. So, I'm guessing it's used in an armor at some point down the line.

No.

From its icon, it's clearly a biomaterial, which means it could be used for pretty much anything (weapon, armor, room decoration, etc.).

So we just keep hoarding this stuff until some use for it is found?

Meteoric Mettaurs--er, Metals are easy to get. The description says that it could be used in making a weapon, so that's most likely what it's for. Can't wait to see what kind of weapon it might be used for, though.

maybe in the expansiopn we'll use it to make shadoogs, wait, you cant make those so er... never mind, maybe we'll be able to make that rain of death-ish suv that is supposed to come out. Or maybe you make a whip, has anyone heard of materials for whips yet?

im thinking its used to make that 11* 'nade launcher, because it fires meteorites and it says meteroic metal comes from a meteorite... just speculation though.

I assume a collector's item such as Shiryuu's suggestions. For a 7*, it would be an A rank weapon that requires this material.

As many of you may know, I've done so many HIVE runs that I hate the damn place now (between solo leveling and black heart hunting [same thing]). Between Funky.GUN and Code 4m37h157, I have 58 meteoric metal (and 27 HIVE room decorations). I hope it makes somethin' espeansive. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I would bet on twin fluorescent bulb being the same as the original fluorescent bulb...but costing 2 inverter circuits.

bahah forgot about the Bil De Axe XD
but kubara variations dont use anything special
all you use different in Kubara wood.
So Meteoric Metal isnt for those.

There's no possible description of the hatred and destruction that I would rain upon sega and sonic team at the thought of the creation of a crea axe.

Anyway I could care less what this meteoric metal could make because I barely see it as is and if it became useful in the slightest for something I'd never see it again. Just like everything else I've ever hunted for and not gotten, and have found no way to make the money to buy.

The way you can find yourself a meteoric metal, is to not look for it. Always works for me. I go hunting for hours, then I just get bored and do a random mission, and there I go found myself a bil de vear horn, de ragnus dorso x2 and rappies all in one day.

It makes a unit for humans and newmans that lets em summon a giant meteor to kill its enemies. it also adds SE 4 burn.

Um. Maybe its used to make certain S rank's like 12*'s or (as mentioned) The Drill Knuckles. My personal guess however is maybe one or two 12* strike weapons like the way the current theory for the use of Gun gems is for making 12* Guns

xXNinjaXx
Sep 10, 2007, 05:29 AM
the Gun Gems are used for that *.
theres Tormad and Berliad
Tormad is for love bow (10*)
and dont know berliad yet. maybe 11* launcher

and as far as nights statue, thatll prolly be a promotional weekend for that.

DragonStorm
Sep 10, 2007, 01:42 PM
it will make meteor saber and meteor sabic and meteor cudgel (doublesaber) which requires 30 meteoric metals. double saber is 10*

stukasa
Sep 10, 2007, 02:23 PM
People keep mentioning S-rank weapons, but (like DJ said) Meteoric Metal is an A-rank mat so shouldn't it used to make an A-rank weapon/armor/etc.? I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Niloklives
Sep 10, 2007, 04:34 PM
star value doesn't dictate anything for certain. tear of light is made using c rank acids and brank biomaterials but is 9*

kubara wood is used to make kubara knockoffs of all ranks.

deljebanner is 6* but uses vestaline for its ore.

Even gourmet cake uses something sweet which is a 7* item with a 6* ingredient.

So there's no way of knowing what even the rank of item it's going to create will be. we'll just have to wait it out.

DikkyRay
Sep 10, 2007, 04:40 PM
No. The real answer comes in AoI, when humans totally get tanks.
THEN they are used for something else. My guess is Shadoogs

Niloklives
Sep 10, 2007, 04:56 PM
I doubt that. I'm not sure how much of that is supposed to be a joke, but shadoogs are standard weapons from GRM it's going to be the same ingredients as single hand guns. true fact.

DikkyRay
Sep 10, 2007, 05:01 PM
Standard weps?
I was being serious about shadoogs. Seeing as they seem mysterious and shit, i thought the meteors had something to do with it

gryphonvii
Sep 10, 2007, 07:46 PM
I heard that you wouldn't be able to make shadoogs seeing as how everyone would make a dark one and they come pre-set with elements.

Soukosa

Shadoogs can be synthed to be any element, just like a melee weapon, except they use a ranged PM.

Sega stated in a recent video interview that you could use Meteoric Metal (in multiples of 3) to customise various parts of your 'vehicle' in the expansion.

Whatever they meant by vehicle, i don't know, but the video is here.

Yes, they had an elemental percent. Though on the beta they did such low damage you'd have to wonder if there's much point to it. Could be the damage was bugged then as it made no sense but I guess we'll see in about 2 weeks.

I was hearing rumors that shadooogs came with pre-set elements and status effect, fire burns, ice freezes, dark incapacitates etc. Is this just random rambling or what?

Also another rumor I heard that we were going to get vehicles so it could be used as customization as Esurfer said.
