...the latest GameGuard update?

I tried to load up PSU this morning and was greeted with a GameGuard update (yay?) as I reached the login screen, I got an error message pop up "The game and gameguard has been modified" and it closed PSU. I didn't think anything of it and I just loaded up again, this time I actually got into the game, but after 10 seconds I got the same error and it shut the game again... Since then I have tried all the following:

Rebooting, Deleting the GameGuard folder so it re-downloads, killing my Antivirus, Xfire and other programs to see if anything was interfering, Scanning for Spyware/Adware and viruses (found none) and just now, I reinstalled the entire game - All have failed.

This is really annoying now, anybody having problems too and is there any way to fix this, or have I been screwed over yet again by this sorry excuse for a program? T.T

Running Vista with no errors.

Edit: If it's initialization error, turn that horrible UAC off. Just search "uac" under control panel, the thing's a joke anyway.

It sounds like a simple re-downloading of GG would fix this, though.

I turned it off when I installed vista...tried deleting gameguards folder, reinstalling psu, both didn't worked, can't play online or offline because of gameguard...

I've come to the conclusion that GG is a piece of shit regardless of what OS you're running. Every time you download a patch, there's a 50% chance GG is going to explode in the process.

Hmm... I'm on XP and I've had no problems. I'd try contacting Sega. Maybe next month you'll get a reply.

It seems like PSU isn't set to recognize w/e they updated for GameGuard. PSU is supposed to compare what it thinks GG has to what GG on your system has and obviously what PSU thinks GG has is out of date. I managed to log in and run around for about 5 minutes before I received that error. It won't matter what OS your computer has, no one will be able to get on PSU if it thinks GG has been modified.

Tally me for getting this error with XP SP2. Also, a couple people in the Sega boards were talking about it interfering with AVG, but I don't have AVG.

I had an error when I was downading the GG patch. The download kept freezing over and over again. I just kept persistently restarting it and it eventually got through >_> (XP S2)
