I've only heard of him a few times. Truth be told, I don't read to many comics. Thing is, half my friends are comic nerds, so I hear a lot about comics from them. Due to this, I can usually keep up with the jokes Shin and PD drop about Marvel. But I'm not some comic book know it all, that's my friends' forte.

captain atom is in comics though, not in any other media I know of (actually, I think he might have been in a couple shows and a movie.) The chances of hearing about him from people who aren't comic nerds is prertty low. It's a matter of association.

So I went to a torrent site and downloaded a comic called "Captain Atom: Armageddon". It was cool. So, now, I think Captain Atom is cool.

well, the fight goes back and forth between which is the aggresor. What's cool though is they are both destroying the city. Destroying entire city buildings and causing them to fall to the ground. No doubt several million dollars in damages and while they don't say it, such a large catastrophe seems like it would leave quite a few civilian casualties. Suddenly superman doesn't sound like such a nice guy after all.
