No, but I'm lv87 and I hate the last mission. It's impossible on A for a hunter, I just get stunned continuously. Really hard to counter that, especially since they thing I can take out even a normal mob that size in five minutes. Just try it on an easier difficulty.

That last story mission is a difficult one.

Heres some tips:

-Skip the first Magashi, it saves time.

-If your a PT spam damage traps, they actually do help, and spam SE traps.

-Go after the caseals first They interrupt PAs and are a nuisance.

Thats what I did and it worked.

ahhh i didnt know you could skip the first magashi thats nice to know i broke my remote doing this threw it across the room, but i could put ti back together

Yeah, Skipping the first megashi saves time.

Spam the traps you can use and Tornado Dance (if you have it).

You could also spam Twin Saber PA's.

Yeah, I took a break after the first attempt and needing to kill a half dead Magashi.

Traps are the key. Anihilated the Caseals with Damage Traps and Burned Magashi.

lol i found out cuz i skipped the 1st one, then on the second room i was trying to kill the magashi and casts then i noticed that after i killed the casts the gate opened XD

I usually killed the Magashis about the same time as the caseals.

Guess that saves time, lol.

The whole point of the last mission is to get Lou to the control room as quickly as possible as others have stated the gates opening aren't based upon killing the Magashi's its usually based on killing the Cast Guardians to trigger doors to be opened. I don't recall the mssion results screen even mentioning number of enemies killed as part of the result just how much time was left.

Sophia and I tried to get S Rank on A difficulty setting, and we could not.

Best time she got was 1:37 left, A rank reward.

Since you get C rank for 00:01 to 00:59 left, B rank for 1:00 to 1:29, does this mean you get A Rank for 1:30 to 1:59?
S Rank reward would therefore be 2 minutes left, which I think is impossible =/

I hope it's 1:45 left, and I'll try again when I have a SPS and am Lv100.

the only elements that factor into final score for this trial are time and number of times lou dies. so just kill the caseals and avoid the magashis. I haven't tried this Mission on A as a fighgunner, but it was easy enough as a GT. dark/fire xbow ftw, though I only got an A as well.. I think your best bet in this case is as a beast and not skipping to the trial. instead walk there to build up your blast meter and use it on the first batch of caseals while avoiding magashi. if you're fast enough, that should get you to the last room with at least three and a half minutes to spare and some blast left if you went with power.

I haven't tried it, cause my beast isn't high enough for that difficulty, but that should work seeing as how a lvl 90+ power beast does over 1k damage a hit. those caseals never saw it coming >_>
