Synthesis Question

I'm about to synth some deathmakers but the success rate is only at 49% even with my PM at 100 ranged and i'm wonder if your fortune effects the complete rate when you take the item out or actually begin the synth itself

if anyone can help me out it'd be much appreciated

Your daily luck (seirei, shiny star, or whatever you feel like calling it) has no effect on synth. That 49% you see is the rate you will have no matter what day you start or finish the synth on.

I used to think luck had an impact but it definitely doesn't.

I'm 5/6 on Drumlines this week when synthing with zero luck and a 49% chance of success.
