Anybody?

I believe the higher percentages on weapons still do pretty much the same damage, and the lower percents do alot more damage.

And apparently armor percent usage was somewhat lowered, and apparently DFP makes more of a difference now.

Short of speculation in another topic, this has not been confirmed to be true.

Well the update is finished so it shouldn't be too much more until we know for sure.

Thats what I've come to hear from this topic:

Nice stat boosts, but elemental % usefulness was nerfed, so the damage you deal will be roughly the same with high % weapons.

You'll be much more powerful with low % weapons, which makes rangers even more broken >_>

My A rank armors 24-38 + 12rainbow are very similar to pre-patch, but I only tested briefly on S2 Go Vahra and Shagreece. My 50% B takes about 50 more dmg then before, DFP is obviously weighted more now but I don't know the specifics.

EDIT: And of course we don't know any of this stuff for sure, but keep your pants on, more detailed info will be here soon enough.

Agreed - and it would be a good thing to put the rumors to rest

I can't do any % tests until the room servers are up. All my variety %s are in my PM.

I shall be a patient and wait ^_^. I just wanna know that we'll outdamage low % S ranks, no matter how much. More Damage is more weapon.

As the system stands, anyone who masters the JA/JC system will outdamage anyone who hasn't. And right now, I don't see how any doublesaber user can get their PAs to chain JA like the other melee weapons. Axe seems second hardest.

Do JA's automatically hit as well?

Ugh, I hope it doesn't take too long to master with Double Sabers -_-

Menochi

No, they can miss just as easily as a regular attack. The only advantage they have is that if/when they hit, its a 100% crit.

I hope its not too hard to master the Double Saber with this, I'm sure it won't take too long to figure it out.

Not hard at all if you're used to 'timing' stuff. Its a bit stricter than PSO's combo system was, but the rewards are obviously much sweeter.

Sounds like Super Mario RPG.

Thats probably the best example outside of fighters.

Has lag been an issue with the JA timing?

I can't wait to hear about the % chances to know if my high % will still do good damage.

I wonder if it's just a cascading boost from the low-end. 10% acts as 20%, while 20% may act as a simple 25%, and 50% staying as is, etc.

NexGen

If that was the scenario, I would hope that they would just change a weapon that was 10% to becoming an actual 20%, rather than have a situation where "Oh yeah, it says 10% but we mean 20% really, and 20% is really a 25% but your 50% is still 50%! YA RLY!"

If you guys can't tell, I'm horribly picky about numbers....it's what I do every day for work and irks me when things just don't add up.

Just like the client decides if you got hit or not, JA and JC are handled by the client. So internet lag isn't an issue. I'd assume its a small patch for the PS2 players just telling the client to track when buttons are pressed, but I don't have a Japanese PS2 to peruse the data seperately from the 'disc'

How about now? Lol I'm just pretty curious to see what they did to 44/50% Weapons.

How about you keep your pants on and stop asking every 5 minutes. It'l be plastered all over the place once they've figured it out.

And it was already stated (within the first 5 posts) than higher elemental percentages don't really differ much from they pre-patch state. It's the lower end percentages that gain the most from this change.

5 minutes? Try 5 hours.
