View Full Version : What if they had Monster/Pet-Raising in PSU?

Much like the Chao system in Sonic Adventure 2? I'm serious when I say this, but I think that feature would be neat, and yes I'm giving myself wishful thinking for saying it.

Mm, I mean, how wouldn't that be neat? Competing against other players (like the Casino that we're getting in AoI) with your own raised monster. =x

I'd kill other people's Jaggos for rares.

What, you mean like virtual cock fighting?

I'm all for that.

Screw Jaggos, I'd want to bring a pet Carriguine. Buffed one, obviously. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

In seriousness, I guess the 'raising' aspect of PSU is the failbots/PMs. I never played Sonic Adventure 2 (yeah, I know, I know), but PM's are what I think of when you say raising.

If I CAN raise a pet Carriguine, get back to me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

One of you would raise the evilest, darkest jao ever through getting your kicks out of throwing it against the wall and we'd have a new boss monster that flies more than Dimma, spits Lv 4 Megid more casually than a deljaban, nerfs all forms of damage incurred, and he's null element. Oh, and every boss box is a scape doll board.

Yeah, no thanks.

No. Pm's were such a terrible idea for MAG replacements though. :/

I really just want to raise Chao again in the Sonic games, to be honest. Annoyed that they've almost entirely removed them from the universe >_>

I think Jaos are stupid looking personally. I've always disliked Chaos.

Now a PSO styled Grass Assassin, I could see myself raising one of those.

Okay, maybe I should just talk about pets in general >.>

That would be fun. If they don't have that scary grin on their face. Though mainly I'm a Pannon type of guy.

Though it would be fun to have a Jaggo section in your room.

Aren't PM's the "Pets" of PSU (technically)...

That would be cute to have a chao or more than one chao playing in your room whenever you visited it, just like visiting the gardens. Much more entertaining than the decorations or stationary PMs.

Sep 18, 2007, 04:05 PM
If anything, I see PM's as what they're called. "Partners".

Nah....no monster raising. If they absolutely had to do this, make a whole new game. This is PSU, point being to kill monsters, get rares, level, and show off your e-peen with said level. Raising monsters would turn this into, well, monster rancher. Good idea, but not for me

What's wrong with Monster Rancher? One of the best games ever made. EVER!

Reipard
Sep 18, 2007, 06:51 PM
I would love that. A pet/monster partner system would be really cool. A lot more inspired than I've thought PMs to be.

Well...I just want a Vahra http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

What, raising Jaggos?! Forget that, I'm down for De Ragus raising!!!>-) But really, thats a cool concept that should have been added in the first place. We had to raise mags to get a special one right? So why not.

Not exactly, as it's simply adding a monster rancher esque element to PSU, not touching the rest of the game.

So it's PSU with a monster rancher side game, if you will.

why dont you just go back and play your dreamcast?

They did it for sonci and pso, and it was so much fun. It's completely doable in PSU with PM's aswell too if they centered it around materials. Like metals would raise power, traps raise range, pretty much exactly the system we have now (slightly varied), except that instead of evolving into loli's they would evovle into the seond stage animal types with appearances and abilities depending on what you gave them.

Doesn't quite fit in the PSU universe.

imo the PMs are the substitute in this subject.

Might as well put this option within the game, on the count we'll be living on the planets from now on. Who wouldn't want to see their pets walk by the window & look in when you put them outside?

-Ryuki-
Sep 19, 2007, 05:00 PM
Or! Who wouldn't want to play with their pets while in their rooms? It gives you something to do
rather than just dropping in, storing stuff, synthing, and then leaving.

That's what we call, "animal cruelty".
