Yep - I can't log on either (360). I immediately get the error message 'Connection to Phantasy Star Universe Server failed.'

It's not just you, by the looks of it everyone on my friends list who would usually be playing can't at the moment http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The gerbil they use to power the servers suffered a heart attack. Please wait while they run to the nearest pet store to find a replacement, thank you.

Yeah, and notice that they haven't even made an announcement on their website despite the fact that this BS has been going on for several days now to varying degrees.

Sep 19, 2007, 12:15 PM

I noticed after being kicked off and not being able to log in again that the servers must be down or something so I checked the psu main webisite and can't even get on... not sure what happened there.

The servers have been seriously unstable this week. Had to "retry connection" several times and got booted working through missions and I couldn't blame it all on Comcast. Now I just wonder if the 20% Fuka-Misaki I just synthed and the Meteor Cannon board I just found will still be there.

Could be a power outage, they don't seem to have a working backup generator because power outages have taken them out before like this....

I hope they get a really good one this time. Maybe even upgrade to hamster?

No, that's probably just wishful thinking.

damn, i was just getting to it too. "Surprise famitsu!". But we're never going to get that event. Looks like we have race "appretiation" days until halloween instead of a real event.

AoI changes would be freaking amazing and would be enough to get me to go back to playing, but they probably shut down the servers to figure out what's causing the lag.

For those that don't know, California has a really unreliable power grid during the summer/ early fall. Since the website was down too its not a suprise update.

So... wouldn't it make sense for Sega to invest in some generators?

We already went through this. Their hamster died, so they need to replace it to get the power back on.

Witch's teats are not cold; take it from me (and my ex-girlfriend).

And for anyone wondering what to do, why not take a break and read a book?
