View Full Version : PSU-XBox 360: I'm finally getting it... tomorrow!

So, is there anything I should know, about the Xbox 360 version? How is it different from the PS2/PC version?

I'm picking it up at Game Crazy, when my Brother gets home from college.

And, I should be online, starting this weekend, or (at the latest) next week.

My PS2 doesn't have an online adaptor, my laptop is busted, and I just got an Xbox 360 ELITE, therefore... Xbox 360 PSU... Until I buy a new PC, or a PS3.

Not much in differences except for the voice chat in parties and how the Xbox dashboard user features are integrated into the game. (when you "click" on a person in PSU you can look at their gamertag info in the dashboard like any other XBL game). That's really the biggest differences...the minor interface differences.

Seriously, you can't speak for the PC/Ps2 Servers unless you play on them. Haxeta is nearly all gone (cept for those who are hoarding it). As far as hackers, Ryuk was the last one and even then the gap before the last incident was huge. The more you know ;o

When is all the console hate going to stop. The Op asked a simple question about the game and it instantly turns into bashing.

Well to be quite honest there is no big difference besides the interface and voice chat already stated above and as far as the population the 360 larger community but at the same time it also has its fair share of idiots and bad representatives so at the very best as long as you make friends I would say that its very enjoyable, maybe I'll see you on sometime

Im not hating on the other versions im just saying, I've played every PSO and each version IMO got ruined when people started hacking and such. I know that PSO and PSU are 2 different games but when i played PSU on my 360 i was happy to know that i was gonna be able to enjoy it without it getting hacked in months and everyone have every weapon.

Im sry if i offended anyone and if the PC/PS2 version got fixed and there arent any hackers anymore and all that haxesta is gone and such than im glad for them because i been thru that crap way to many times with all the PSOs from DC/GC/Xbox/PC. It just feels great to know someone found a psycho wand and you dont have to know the person to know that he got it legit since there isnt any other way he/she got it.

If you have an awesome computer, go with the 360 version.
If not, go with the 360 version.

If someone else hasn't mentioned it, there is a funny voice chat thing, where you can't hear people/they can't hear you...

It seems to strike at random, in a full party it's more noticeable.

The crowd is pretty good. Lots of poop-sockers and full blown noobs and everything in between. You might wanna get a cheap-o USB keyboard, just to help when not in voice chat.

Usually their voice chat lag/can't hear others is due to their network settings. That's one thing i don't miss about the 360 version going through that myself a couple of months till i moved. Guess that's what teamspeak and other services are good for. I'd rather just listen to my ipod and kill shit and type when i need to anyways.

I don't know why, but I prefer how the game feels on the Xbox 360, the control seems tighter, and on missions where I only got B's on the PS2 version, i'm getting A's, and S's on the Xbox 360 version. The frame rate seems to be better, and it's not chugging along as much, as the PS2 version... maybe it's because my PS2 is ancient, or because i'm Playing on the Xbox 360 ELITE, who knows...
