I did'nt realise that these sites still were intersted in PSU.

I got this site on Google when looking for the official site(I needed to ask about a billing issue).

Obviously, I am NOT going to post the URL... but I LOL'd at two things. 1/it appeared above the official site and 2/The prices!

I thought the prices were... funny. I can't believe anyone would spend 500 bucks on a game item...

I mean I don't particualy think it's cool buying game items from ppl for real money but really....

I would post the URL just so people could see for themselves this exists(I heard rumours of stuff on Ebay but a SITE!!!) but I am sure that it's against the TOS. Then again I dont see people spending $500 on a unit.... or $100 on some crappy dubs....

You'd be surprised how often things like that actually sell though.

The Japanese servers have their fair share of it too, though it only gets annoying when Chinese farmers spam the lobby trying to sell their overpriced stuff.

something about those descirptions really irritates me. i can almost imagine the word "scam" written all over that page. seems so crooked, and there's no garantee that they'd even give you the items in game. I would image the person selling it is one of those bitches that sets materials above the npc prices and advertises "Black heart in one of the presents".

and yeah, epic waste of money.

$500 is a great deal considering I could have it right away, or I could grind and hope that I actually get one to drop once within the next 50 months... take the 1/1,000,000 drop rate into account, the fact that I hardly play anymore, that I'm at the point where I'd rather drown myself in the Neudaiz waterways instead of soloing over and over... eh, that sounds about right. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

No, I'm not really serious. The site is probably just a scam anyway.

If you invest enough thought into the offer, $500 for a har / quick is actually quite the reasonable price. Lemme introduce my perspective:

A Har / Quick is worth 14 mill on the 360 servers, give or take.

Within one hour, a player could fit possibly 5 Lab S2 runs

1 Lab S2 run is equaled to about 20k. 5 is equaled to about 100k. So each hour spent on PSU is equaled to 100k meseta, meanwhile if you lived in New York State, each hour of work is equaled to at least $7.15.

Now in order to reach 1 mill, a player must invest 10 hours.
-10 hours x 100k meseta = 1 mill meseta

Now in order to reach 14 mill, a player must invest 140 hours.
-140 hours x 100k meseta = 14 mill meseta

Now if he or she replaced that 140 hours spent playing Lab S2 in PSU, w/ 140 hours of work.
-$7.15 x 140 = $1001

According to my figures, by buying a Har / Quick legitmately, you lose an opportunity cost of $501. However I, myself wouldn't buy it, since I'll be moving away to Kent State University within a year. (and as said before it's likely just a scam)

I play this game for fun... I stopped working in jobs that I don't like about 15 eyears ago. I do nothing that I don't like unless. A/My partner aks me to do it B/My partner tells me to do it C/My partner demands I do it.

Paying real money for items that are supposed to be 'fun' obtaining goes against every bit of logic I have....

I just cannot fathom.... no I cannot. Why the heck would I play a game that I don't like and pay someone else to do all the 'hard' work cuase I did'nt enjoy doing it.... *nope does not get it*....

And speaking of which, $500 is a lot of money but not in a RL perspective... I mean it's literally a bill... but if my partner found out I spent £300 on a game item.... forget it. I mean I have enough trouble scraping a few hours in a day(and have to sneak some of those in at work:)). But really, I actually enjoy hunting these rares. And when they appear it's pretty cool. Even if I was uber rich it kind of ruins it dontcha think?

Well, I dunno. If you need to pay $500 to 'artificially enchance' a $10 game to make it 'fun'.... well I have friends like that... they are a bit too fond of cocaine(and I'd probably take the coke above the Har/Quick... LOL real life 'quickness'). Or better than that I would probably spend $500 at an online Casino(prob less of a gamble then giving it to these guys) Just doesn't seeem to fit paying that sorty of money of an online RPG. The online experience makes it for me... items are nice and all but they don't win respect really(well maybe from a few people)not from the 'solid' people in the community.

No really though I would love a Har/Quick or any of those items but A LOAD of fun without... (Protranser anyone lol?) But it would almost seem falswe to have PAID RL money for it. Like buying a jigsaw(as if) and paying someelse to do it.

These items MAY enchance the game but a lot of the fun is surely in finding these items in the first place. Good items don't make a good player and certainly don't mean a good time. I have often said I have more fun on my lowbie chars as I'm not really after anything that drops at those levels and have more fun partying. My other fun is OCCASIONALLY soloing and VERY OCCASIONALLY finding something.... no Har/Quuick yet(but two me/quicks... saved me a couple of hundred I suppose;)).

Besides, I am sure if you paid these guys, that would be the last you'd see of your money... I highly doubt any items would be forthcoming.

Okay, first off, Ebay shouldn't be allowing the sale of virtual property on their site anymore. That was to originally kill off the Diablo 2 character market. If stuff like this actually is on Ebay, rumors or not, I'll log in just to report that it is virtual property and the seller should have that marked against them.

That there is an acutal website selling this stuff for prices this ridiculous makes me want to point the finger that accuses of hacked items.

It's a sham, and should technically be illegal in general, because of this down here, straight from the Sega TOS:

(b) Conduct

You agree to abide by the following standards set forth in this Subscriber Agreement, the EULA, and the Rules of Conduct. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree not to use the SEGA Web site(s), the Program (in this case PSU), the Official Program Web Site, or the Program Server to:

(7) conduct business or profit-related activities

(Trimmed a bit for easier reading)

I think this means that site, whoever runs it, is going to find themselves in deep shit if it gets around what they're doing.

lol, thanks turbobrain i guess i over looked a few things. and agree, even if there was a trade window here you could exchange the tems for money like there is in game, i would image these guys would still try to screw you over.

but pokefiend did bring up a good point about time vs. pay out. and this game is terrible for that as it takes so long just to get S ranks that are only as good as 9* weapons +6 (which are rather common). i'm kind of under the impression that games should be fun and not a virtual simulation of work. selling those items only translates to about 2-3 dollars an hour and by working at even blockbuster making 8.50$ an hour well in the same hundreds of hours the employee would have a chance at promotion, a har /quick, and another 1,500 dollars. while the other person would still be in their parents basement.

but it's just a game and spending that kind of money is rediculous, but spending that amount of time seems even more pathetic. this game really needs AoI or famitsu (tabboo, i kno everyone's sick of this word) to balance the drop rate so you can actually expect to get something from runs and look forward to signing on everynight, rathrr than thinking "maybe i'll get something in the next hundred set of runs". it just makes it clear to me that the drop rates are broken in this game.

I wasn't aware you'd find sums like that on the East coast, and I do know that on the West coast the cost of living is a lot higher, so it evens out.

And yeah, I can only speak for here in Kentucky but $7/hr isn't that bad. That's a little more than a Wal-Mart Department wage, or even a low-end warehouse job. Short of something you'd make a career out of, it's not that bad.
