I'm wondering how easy it would be to solo this mission, two nights ago I was able to slowly make my way (yay for killer shot) to the final boss on my fortegunner; however I just couldn't do anything to Magasdehana(Sp?) He doesn't seem to be susceptible to the run behind him and plant yourself in between his "legs" like the boss of Grove of Fanatics.

the good news: grab yourself a high % phantom line, or really any high % elec armor, and level your ground-element rifle shots.

the range on the rifle allows you to attack at range and reach to his attacks. I recommend brining NPCs as cannon fodder to distract Maggas.

You might even have better luch as a guntecher. the resta allows you so save meseta on mates, including antimates.

I've kicked this missions butt on B, but of cours that's what you'd expect, right?

how do you plan yourself for the grove of fanatics run?

I'm assuming your talking about how I plant myself on the grove of fanatics run. Basically the boss of that mission has a tendency to spin around in a circle when you were directly behind him (In between his "Wheels") which as a fortefighter way back when would generally just result in the boss doing circles with you moving along with him all the while pummeling him with a spear.

Yeah it looks like I'm going to have to work more on my grav shot as right now it being level 8 just isn't going to cut it. However I was really getting lit up by his machine gun shots, though again I tried to approach the fight like the boss of Grove of Fanatics and that probably didn't help much either.

you are probably running the wrong way, or are too close. machine gun shots are the easy part. just little damage to soak.

unlike getting hit my the seeking miles, or the stunning slam, etc. I spend a lot of time too close, because I have level 28 twin grav, and it's hard for me NOT to use this as the damage is pretty great.
