I set up a taxi service to tonga and it was a big success. We might conidder setting up community taxi services to hotspots with the passwords posted on the forums so that anyone can access them easily.

There's been people already camping their Beasts out there for the sole purpose of not having to do it tomorrow. Good idea, though, for those who haven't had the time to make the journey there.

Taxi service is now up and working! It should last all day unless omeone finished the mission. I'll be afk so i won't be monitering. If the mission isn't there later today then i got dced or someone decided to be a clown.

I logged my beast on at 9 (20 minutes ago) on the 360. Uni 1 is already full and the ice plains are full of beasts!

So much for predictions to do with a certain game that was released at midnight.

And you can tell many who're not Beasts because today Beasts have 0-luck >_>

Now could someone explain how to set up a taxi service in the future?

1) With two people in a party, complete missions to goto the lobby which you would like to allow people to warp to too.

2) Have one person stay in the lobby and have the party leader return to city. The party leader then starts a mission and exits the mission with it still in progress.

3) The party leader then talks to the cast to warp back to the lobby and remains afk to allow people to use the service.

Basically it works along the grounds of asking someone to give you a lift. In that situation they send invite, you talk to the cast and then meet up with the party. Doing it this way and having a mission avaiable to join allows anyone to join a party to be able to warp to a lobby.

it turned out more successful than i thought. afk for seven hours i didn't get dced and everyone respectfully said "thank you" as they passed.

maybe we should considder setting up taxi services to hot spots. Foran water fall and hot springs are a real pain to have to solo back to. and there's generally at least 5 people afking around the mission counter anyways.

Hmm,I think you might be on the right track here.

JP servers had taxis for quite a while, I heard they were attempted on US servers but stopped due to people just clearing the mission or mucking it up in other ways.

Its not that hard to just open up all lobbies with a party either, though it really depends on time etc. The guy who ran the taxi's on the JP server dealt with a lot of hassle until he found a few ways to prevent stupidity. Though I think this week is the last week of it. Almost a year of running, was a real convenience. Hope yours goes as smooth or better if you do decide to set one up.

Don't know if it was mentioned or not, but you need to actually have been to the lobby with that character once before you can use the paid service. So its still a good convenience until people get registered and situated.

I got the idea from one of your post's menochi. And that JP players will put a coment on it so that only japanese speakers can access the service as to not screw it up. by putting a comment to check psow, it forced people to atleast read the steps on how to use it so that some noob wouldn't stumble in and finish the mision.

and the US is really behind on updates. with the GM's promising everything under the sun, i wonder when it will actually be when the AoI systems are actually implecated in PSU. Having other players help each other would also have the benefit of a sense of sommunity.

You'll probably get the updates the month before AoI comes out.

You'll still end up with people completeing the mission, but check your action log and chat log, as you said, there will usually be a lot of thanks. But you can use that to determine who fouled up your taxi and blacklist them. (Not sure exactly how kimura did the blacklisting, but apparently it helped keep out the problemmakers). Takes some work, but he enjoyed it so you might end up as well.

could be dead. there's generally 5 people afking out side the mission and there's tons of times when two people in a party log out at the same time. it would be nice if someone was nice enough to setup a taxi because it's so easy to do and there's so many oppertunities.

edit: i'm focussing on bullet leveling, but i might do one for daligun plaza for a day for community exposure to the service. maybe someone else can pick up on it afterward.
