PSU: The Series - Auditions now open

Well, guess I get to make the announcement on this one. So, the ol' crazy folks from Guardians United (aye, the same ones that brought you the podcast) are starting up a new PSU spoof series. Think of it akin to a mix of Red V Blue, Sienfield, and PSU.

We are looking for voice actors (sense of humor required) to join the cast. Linked below is the thread over at the GU forums which includes all the details, rules, and audition scripts. No registration is necessary to check out the thread.

Doesn't matter which servers you play on, all that is needed for the auditions is a sound clip and ventrilo, if you make it to finals.

The audio and video will be shot at different times. Right now it looks like most of the filming will be done on the PC side.

Hmm... Now, do we only audition for one character or do we send clips for all of them if possible? This is something that I have wanted to try for a while because I have one of those cartoon voices that can change at will...

they said that the voice acting is separate from your characters acting, so u could voice act someone else or something.

It the only two I can seem to pull off are Random Char 2 (just sound... like a normal yet opinionated person?) and the crowd of high-pitched famitsu voices. XD I can make them sound UBER annoying, if necessary.

It seems to me, that from reading the post, in the link, that they have most (if not all) of the characters pre-made, and we are just auditioning to provide voices to those characters. And, I assume, that some of the characters will look similar to certain characters the community. But... who knows.

Also, I'd request you request this be moved to "Fan Works." You won't need PSU players to voice this since you never mentioned anything about us needing a specific character. My guess is that we'll have to sync up to a video clip you've organized.

Oh, yeah. For the person who asked about what you could use to record yourself. You actually already have the programs on your computer. I can tell you how if you'd like me to. (You must have a michophone of course, heh-heh.)

I don't really enjoy recording myself unless I have a script. Thinking things off the top of my head while trying to voice-act is like being picked from an audience to join in a musical, and you don't even know the lines of the song they're singing.

It sounds fun, but it also doesn't sound like my kind of story. I also have very low self-esteem with the sound of my voice, even though I took voice class and everything... it sounds great until I hear it played back to me, and then I just want to hide under my bed... maybe it's like that for everyone though.
