So as the release of AoI closes in for the US and it is already out for japan. I have a few questions on these two new weapons.

so here we go

1. I know that these are off hand casting weapons, but can both of them have techniques of your choice attached to them. If not which one can or can nither of them have techniques of your choice and they are like sything bladed weapons.

2. Is it the non-force classes that use the Madoog and the force classes that use the Shadoog.

Any other general information would be nice to.

and if anyone has pics of both that would be cool to

Madoogs cast techniques, left hand weapon. They have more TP then wands but less PP.

Shadoogs are left hand shooting weapons. They work off your TP rather then ATP if I remember right.

Actually, to my surprise, that has changed. Madoogs now have more PP than wands, but less TP.

Madoogs are basically a off-hand wand. They have more PP and less TP then a wand however.

Shadoogs are basically off-hand turrets that use TP instead of ATP for damage. They are mainly for applying SE's and not for damage.

So most Madoogs have PP>TP or is it all?

From what I've seen so far, it seems to be all.

Well, for Shadoogs, maybe they can do some decent damage if they're used by Newmans? I dunno, just my 2 cents.

Newman Acrofighters! Massive TP combined with really nice ATA and EVP... Plus Acrofighter has the most EVP out of all classes?
Shadoogs on newmans will be simply awesome.

shadoogs are synthed with an element like swords are.

Guess I won't be using these shadoongs, as I'm a cast. Balls, and I was looking forward to useing these new weapons.

Female cast fortegunner does about 300-400 a shot with a 27% light soniti against dark enemies. Piercing bullet.

Its not horrid on a cast, you guys keep forgetting that JP got a big stat change, and that gave casts around 600-700 TP at level 100 instead of 200ish

Phew, that's a big boost. I guess whatever the next difficulty is, it's gonna be tough.

Ok, from the stuff so far that has been Posted

Madoog - these can have techs of your choice and work just like wands, but they have better TP but less PP

Shadoog - these are synthed just like swords and are a single element and are primarly used for SE dammage. For example if you have a fire element Shadoog when used it shoots a foi like fireball easily infecting SE burn, correct.

also any pics any one has would be great.

thanks for the information so far.

Fixed. I posted pics in the illuminus thread, too lazy to dig them up right now though.

Wait so the SEs aren't only depending on the shadoog itself but on its element? I'm so confused.

Lets take that fire shadoog example again.
If you make a fire shadoog, it will occasionally inflict burn, correct? But what about other effects like killer shot, etc..? X_X

you know what? the switch between PP/TP for madoogs makes them less interesting.

I think now they will be relegated to casting buffs, debuffs, and reverser. Where as before, the fast casting speed of the madoog, coupled with the high TP value, made for interesting offensive choices.

*sigh*

Holy crap, dude.

Well, this makes me see Madoogs as the dagger of the magic weapons, high PP, fast, and low TP which makes it reliant on base stats .

Well, I've heard that Newman AT has more TP than Human FT, and I wouldn't be too suprised if it stayed that way, seeing as how a Beast FI has more ATP than a Human FF.
