I don't know exactly when the problem started.
But I do know the speculation over at the Sega boards
are that:

1. PSU Ps2/PC login server is down.
2. Blue Burst is also affected.
3. Billing site, PlaySega, is also affected.
4. It might not be fixed all weekend.

My suggestion, as is many others, is to spam this site:

They're saying the servers are over in the UK, and that
they don't work on the weekends, which to me, doesn't seem
very wise in the least. There has to be SOMEONE there on backup.
That is what we pay for.

Well, those guys getting flushed out of the Colony are people who were logging off PSU to check their alts (see the previous posts in the topic), and got locked outside since PSU's Sega ID authentication server was dead.

I've done 32 True Darkness S runs today, no blackbull :< Just ONE Dulk Falkis Core >_> and It was 3 of us the whole battle UNTIL we get to falkis, where 3 other people join >_> and one of the people who didn't even do the mission got the core
