A while ago I found something (a sword I think) that had -5% to dark. o_O Didn't think much of it, but I have yet to see another negative wep again. Weird, so its still possible to get negatives just extremely rare?

In the Dreamcast versions it seemed every item you could buy or find (not untill ult) had at least one negative percent on it. It wasn't suprising to see something like a Breaker with -20% machine and -15% dark or something along those lines. In fact, the last rare I ever found playing Version 2 was a 1975 agito with -15% A. Beast while playing hard caves. It was a great discovery but it then again, it had negative percents. :/
I like now that in the shop of Episode I & II you can actually buy useful weapons when you start out, because it used to just be a joke.

Yeah, I remember that from DC versions, but I hadn't found anything negative until that so I was hoping that they just removed negative photons. =/

This was recently discussed in another topic. Since I'm too lazy to search for it, I'll just repeat the basic information.
Photon %'s from unidentified weapons are not set in stone. For example, if you check a ???? Buster and it has 5% Native and 20% Machine and you bring it to your favorite tekker, the %'s can change. Now some people believe they can go up only up to 10%, some say 15%, and heck there's probably rumors of higher than that...Test it until you're out of Meseta, if you want! Anyway, Besides being able to increase, the %'s can also decrease. I've never heard of anything lower than -5%, but those that believe a 15% rise may also believe in a 15% loss.
In my own experiences I've seen -5% a few times, always from a 5% in one stat weapon. I can't recall if something has gone higher than an additional 10%, but I always felt there were approximately 5 different 'versions' of the weapon's %'s.
(Okay it would have been easier to link the other topic, but oh well.)
I think that's about everything, I'm sure someone will correct any mistakes I've made.

With that said, its not possible to get negative photons before the weapon is tekked? I hardly ever look at the photons before tekking. =/

I don't believe I've ever seen an unidentifed weapon with less than 0% in anything. If it's at 0% then that means it will never have a % in that category.
That's why you sometimes might hear someone saying that they found a 40/0/0/10 (Mean 40% Native, 0% A. Beast and Machine, and 10% Dark) and 'changing' it into a 50/0/0/20 or something along those lines. The zero's are just place holders in this case.
Don't worry if you see -5% when you talk to a tekker. Just say "No." It's like drugs! Although sometimes you say yes when you're offered the really good stuff... Sure, it's a waste of 100 Meseta, but Meseta's easier to get than anything else. (Keep in mind you can say no as many times as you want, so keep at it and maybe you'll get some absurb %'s and be able to prove everyone's theory wrong! ...Not bloody likely, though.)

All the weapons having negative %'s in DC version?? Uh, I played v1 and NEVER saw it. I still haven't. I didn't even realize there were negatives until GC version. O_o I dunno maybe that's a good thing on my part.
