Please level your buffs. Its really embarrassing to see so many gimps with level 1 buffs. I'm really sick and tired of seeing this.

Sometimes, leveling buffs is a pain in the arse, and in time, people are like "eh, whatever".

Be happy they even used buffs on you at all.

And why is that? They could just use Megistar, and have all their buffs. And if you're gunna say "duh..cuase tehy can make oteher playorz strongonger and makes teh runz fasterer" They can use buff items.(yes i know they're only level11 buffs, but they could use them before the buff spells came out. They could also use them now.)

Why do they have to use them? Because techs suck for damage; if the fT isn't going to support, a fG or fF will be much more useful to the party.

chuck_norris is right. Though I don't mind buffing it's almost insulting
that you expect it of us and not only expect it but expect it at it's full
potential. Yes it's part of our job but it's a play style that doesn't
apply to every techer. Finally not all of us have time to sit and level
our buffs or have the foul option of afk leveling.

Techs are good for OMFG BIG NUMBARZ111, but they are extremely lacking in DPS compared to melee and DoT SEs.

Sure, your Diga might do 2500, but in that same time the fF's Majarra did 4 hits of 800+ to 2 targets. That's 6400, if you don't want to do the math, and that's a very conservative estimate.

Oh, and that's not even considering something like Jabroga, where you could easily hit for 2 hits of 3000 to 5 targets. That'd be 30k. Of course, Jabroga is slow, so the fT fired off two Digas, for a total of 5000 in the same time frame. Clearly these numbers are comparable.

easier say than done. I have being looking for a buff party lately and nobody was doing them. So i say "oh well" and started a buffing party of myself, my little brother and the NPCs. Umm. I'm going ACROTECHER, and I'm not even gonna get all the buffs. Shifta and Deband, and I PROBABLY won't even use them that often.

Furthermore, my Fortecher is dropping buffs... Fortecher isn't support. It's cruel for you to think (or appear to) that a fortecher without buffs, let alone 21+, is a bad techer, or something of the like. My fortecher is for when I want to flip out and blow shit up, not follow people making rings of pretty-ness, that really can be done with like 1k of your own money.

I am generally opposed to buff parties just because its boring and cheap.
Its not that difficult to be an active buffer in any team you join. I remember in PSO people would demand on-the-fly buffing and I got used to doing that. With more force characters now then back then I could get lazy and just let the pros do their lv3 buffs and call it good but when those run out its usually appreciated when I do supplemental buffing while they are fighting and then before the next room the main buffer can always override mine.
Another good way to get in some leveling is to be aware of debuff SE's from enemies. If you are fighting Svaltus have a wand with Deband. If you are fighting the Goshin have Shifta ready to go.

All that being said, if you are already playing S2 games when you get your first set of buffs...then a buff party doesn't sound like a bad idea..

Some people just like Attack techs with the ability to heal. Some people actually like helping the party out statistically. Some people just don't care about other players and don't utilize the original intentions of Fortetecher. And yes, it is also for support.

I like how people will try to get all sorts of PA's to lvl.30 for their own personal benefit... but absolutely refuse to spend a day at home leveling buffs for others <_> ... I mean, it's not like YOU don't benefit from your own buffs?

You know, the Ranger class is a big support class as well. SE-sticking weapons? But we don't yell at Rangers (plz use bullets with good SE's) We don't care if they do high damage or stick SE's because it doesn't DIRECLY effect us.

But I agree with the buff thing to a certain extent. ATLEAST use them if you're not going to level them in a buff party. Plz... +10% stats is better than nothing >_>

I'm a FT and my support techs are only lv2 because I refuse to sit there and level them to 21+ while I could either be doing missions for quick cash or do my psycho wand hunting.

Even if you call having lv2 support gimp be glad to even get support because these techs are a pain in the ass to lvl and not all FT have the time or want to sit there for hours leveling them because many people expect FT to do babysitting for them.

When the techs were first released I did a few buff parties but since then I haven't joined any. I am Wartecher and currently my buffers are as follows:
Shifta: 16
Deband: 16
Zodial: 15
Megistar: 3
Retier: 3 D:

Hey I think you're out of line calling the OP Elitist. That's a very ugly term not to be taken lightly.
I believe what he's saying is that when a player with an Advance job comes into a party there's certain community expections of what they do.

Fortefighters: Are expected to wield weapons of the appropriate elemental weakness or just something not green. Since they are also the ones with the most hp/def, they expected not to die constantly.
Fortegunners: Are expected to lay down SEs burn, virus, shock, and incapacitate for robots. They may carry traps, nobody cares at long as those SEs are there.
Fortetechers: Are expected to cure and buff. Yes we deal good damage as well, but unfortunately nobody cares about that.
Among other things if you're a Beast you're expected to Nanoblast, and if you're a Cast then SUV.

Now Elitism comes into play when they put physical requirements on things, like your weapon has to have this level of % element on it, and your tech has to be X number of levels.

And Leeching is when a player enters your party and doesn't do their job.

Did I get this correct?

Also I also think that player level has general expectations. Like a level 60ish player should have stronger abilities than a level 50ish player.
