So
Is the European release date different to USA?
(if so then
WHY?
If European and USA play on same 360 servers then why the difference?
Will the game be coming out as a download or a disk?
At a time when a lot of AAA titles are due to be released you would think that Sega would release more details about the release

More than likely the EU release will be a different date. Reason? Not sure, translation can be one along with marketing reasons.

According to Play.com (UK) the AoI date for UK is December 14th

The UK usually has a later release date because America has a bigger gameing market? Also, translations would add to the slowdowns.

Games usually come out a little slower in the UK than in the US.

Translations are one of the reasons, but since I never bothered with that I don't know.

I looked into Online Shops. All of them say 20th November for US and 25th January for EU.
25th January = wtf and since you can never fully truist these shops it could be even later.lol
I'm so gonna pirate it, the german translations suck, too anyways.. -_-

What translation? I speak English, so do Americans!! The actual game is the same!
So is it a disk then?
I'm gonna have such a dull Christmas knowing everyone else will be playing AOI

Europe gets Megaman first. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Anyway, I read somewhere that a game can not be release in certain countries in Europe if its not translated.

Translation into several European languages such as French, German etc.
Yes, I think AoI will come out in 2 discs, or so I have heard.
lol Indeed, it would a dull Chirstmas, although maybe v.1 still gets some AoI content like the JP servers did before the actual release of AoI so you'll do fine either way, don't cry. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Again, I'm so gonna pirate it... lol
And that EU always loses out is the harsh reality, but I don't really care about that. <.<

2 disks? What will be the purpose of the 2nd disk? The JP version only had 1 disk and I assume that ST will be making both the US/EU versions with 1 disk too. However, considering that PSUv1 JP version had 8 character slots, while PSUv1 US/EU version had only 4 character slots, I won't disagree with your possibility.

2 disks is only for the PC version which has extra textures for the different resolutions. PS2 is still just 1 disk.

The gap in US/EU releases usually has nothing to do with issues like conversion and such. It's a marketing tactic used to space out the sales, similar to why it is that different regions get the same DVD at different times, or staggered movie releases, etc... It's all just money related.

There are times when the gap is for a good reason, usually to make a game conform to EU standards not present in the US, but overall, it's just a market thing. Basically the same when it's EU first and US later. It sucks, but that's the way it's been going for decades.
