What the heck is ESP?

In the beastiary section, the various resistances of the enemies are posted. The ones for foie/barta/zonde/grants/megid resistance are obvious, but, as the title says, what the heck is ESP?

It's the resistance to a weapon's special ability. At least that's what I think it is.

it is in fact the beasts' effective resistance to special attacks, the higher the resistance, the less effective the special is against the beast

i think i remember ESP stands for SPIRIT. they are correct tho, its is resistance to the SPECIAL ability on weapons.

Though it may only be certain specials. Ones like Heat, Shock, Ice, and Dim may well be tied to the respective elemental resistences. If I had to guess, I'd say that ESP is tied to weapons that produce status ailments like confusion. Ever notice how sometimes you'll hit and do damage with a Confusion special, but the enemy doesn't get confused? That's ESP at work.

ESP would be for confuse, jellen, zallure, etc.

Just try to use something on a boss. If it never works, it counts as ESP, since from what I remember, all bosses have 100% immunity to special ability such as Zalure and Jellan.

Only bosses immune to jellen and zalure are Vol Opt and Gol Dragon.
