Goto the http://www.sega.com/psu and on the left or right there should be a link you can go on that says something along the lines of "Get Online Now" click on that, log in and go through the payment types to reactivate your account. I hope this is what you ment by reactivating accounts.

Tried that already, and the tag says active, but it's still not active...
I noticed on the account billing tag, it said the next payment was three days behind this day, shouldn't it automatically pay?
btw.. it's a PS2 account, sorry if i missed that if it was needed.

It could be possible that your credit card might have expired... Or that you didn't pay the bill and so your company is withholding the payment...

I don't know the expiration date of the card, or any billings unpaid to cause overdue or negligence to pay effects.
The Card used is not my own, sence in a technical manner, this online billing is my "allowance" o.o;
My parent owns the card, so I'll have to 1] wait and see if the account reactivates itself, or 2] ask my mom if their are any billing defects on her card.
<.< Restating this, the tag on the account page on the Play Sega site says the account is active, but, I cannot access the online game, does the tag have like a lag behind the actual cancle?

Actually, I'm having the same problem. I tried to work around it by canceling and reactivating but that didn't work. Cancelation is pending still.

As soon as you activate your account, the card is already charged for the money. But on your PSU screen, does it say you have to renew your Guardians liscense?

Sometimes it can take awhile for it to "Cancel" your account before you can renew. I've had that happen several times to me.

My license was still active when it gave me the No. 65 error. Not sure what the problem is.

Could this be like a server problem? where some accounts are currently rated as expired?
<.< Because the billing automatically pays for it, I bet theres some error occuring, might be affecting some other accounts too... but and still have others able to access the online with their account.

This is something they said they were fixing months ago. Here's the trick: stop poking it and just wait until it shows as canceled again. The more you poked at it the longer this can take, it took my wife's two days. Once it is canceled create a NEW SUBSCRIPTION which is something you aren't even given the option to do while it is pending cancellation. Although it says new subscription you will keep the same data because it is tied to your user name.
Check out the official Sega boards for more complaints on the subject dating back several months. ;P

i got a question about this too cause im trying to get an account reactivated it wasnt banned just my friend stopped paying for it well anyways i tried using other cards but it seems that if the card is already being used on another account it gives u a error that its flagged for security reasons or something can anyone explain?

My credit card is stingy on renewals for stuff, and I missed the past 3 PSU payments(the website says payment unable to recieve), yet I'm still active and online PC right now.
This is awesome. A free MMO!

This could last well over 2 days seeing as a few months ago it lasted some people weeks to renew their subscription. SEGA needs to get on this before the cup starts so if you are having problems mail sega about it and hope they fix it NOW!

I've mailed SEGA about this, as I ran into the exact same problem: Billing date is behind, not charged on my card, but yet, it says my account is still active on the PlaySega site, but I'm getting error 065 when trying to log in. Before checking PlaySega, however, I checked the offical fourms, looking at the Tech Support form, and read eggshen's post, and decided to check, noticing the problem on the site with my account, and decided to leave everything alone. I asked for my password that I forgot, and checked the transactions on my card, but I left everything alone, and sent a support fourm to Sega asking about this. Hopefully I'll get something back soon, because I'm not gonna mess with anything untill A) Sega says something, or B) push comes to shove and it's taking too long for Sega to do anything about this.

I guess I'll notify SEGA too as well.

My account apparently expired as well....I canceled it, attempting to re-suscribe....but....it suscribed me for PSO:BB....which I do not own. Not to mention this was on the PSU billing site, not the PSO:BB one. So now I had to cancel that as well.
What do I have out of it? I can't re-suscribe, and I have this "pending cancel" status added to PSU and PSO:BB (again, which I do not own).

Actually, this is what's going on. Don't tamper with your account in any way atm. They're having issues.

I got a reply from Sega already, though, unfortunatly, it's saying the same basic thing eggshen said in his post on the PS2 tech support fourm on the offical site. But for those intrested... here are the reply(s)(Sent two of them in less than two hours: The second one added in a detail I forgot to mention):
Letter 1:
Hello,
It appears that we are experiencing an issue with the resume feature of
the billing site. This is something we are aware of and have been
working on with our billing processor for a while now to resolve.
Hopefully this will be soon, as we are working to get it back as soon
as
possible - however, as of now there is no ETA.
Until then, there is a way to go about helping the support team get
your
account back up faster. If you receive and error 065 or similar login
failure because your account failed to resume payment on the correct
day, DO NOT use the 'resume subscription' feature. There are two other
options that will resolve the issue quicker:
1. Do not make any adjustments to your account. Do not make a resume or
'new subscription' purchase attempt. email the billing support team
here: http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com/support_contact.php and let
them know the error you are having so that they can begin the process
of
renewing your subscription manually.
2. Do not select 'cancel your subscription'. If you have no already,
please email the billing support team at the following link
http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com/support_contact.php. The support
will then be able to help you set up a new subscription. This route
does
take a few days as well though
We will continue to work on resolving this issue so in the future
people
will no longer experience this error, but until then, this is the
quickest fix we can get an account with an error 065 back up and
running
Thanks for your patience

Subject: PSU FORM: Billing and Accounts - License expiring

PSU FORM: REQUEST
name = Nicholas Niermann
email = mechatails@yahoo.com
gameid or gametag = mechatails .
platform = PS2
-------------------------------------
description =
Just a little less than a hour ago from the sending of this message, I
started to get a message saying my Guardians License has expired when I
tried to sign on to PSU. I checked the PlaySega site, and it still has
my account listed as active, and I have not made a move to cancel my
account, nor have I altered my information on the PlaySega site. I sent
a message a little earlier reporting this, but I failed to mention
there
was an oddity: The next billing date listed on the site for my account
is on October 7th, it is now October 10th. Did something hiccup and not
bill my card? If so, why is my account still active? Please keep in
mind
I have not altered my account information whatsoever since I subscribed
on October 26th, 2006.

I just sent in my own notification to the billing team or whatever, as I've been experiencing the aforementioned problems with my own account. I just hope that this all gets resolved before the 1Up Platinum Cup starts.

Having the same problem here. Already sent my e-mails. They better fix it before the 1UP Cup or there's gonna be a lot of quitters. (Not me tho, but I'd like to be able to play within the next week...)

-_- im getting the same problem
Well, I HAD this probelm till about 12am this morning. I tried logging on about two days ago and it said my account had expired. Seeing that, I went to billing.playsega.com to see what was up. It said my PSU account was still active, but in-game it said I wasn't. So I manually cancelled the account, and had to wait 2 days for my status to go from "STATUS PENDING" to "CANCELED". I woke up this morning, reconfigured my account, and got it up and running again. So what I suggest is cancel your account, wait for it to say "CANCELED" and then renew your account like you've done before. Mailing sega doesn't usually do something about this(IMO). I did e-mail them, but I never got a response.
And more over, it looks like this is happening to the people who started their subscriptions during the first few days of this games relaease.

The problem is fixed now.
Be very careful if you cancel and then purchase a new subscription. I you cancel your PSU sub, then click 'New Subscription' you will get a PSO:BB one instead of PSU. ._.

Hey I just went through this. I guess Sega likes Violet my main char. They responded to me asap and let me know that they were having issues with this. The pending cancellation takes bout 24 hrs to clear. If you mail them in support they will manually cancel it and then you can just renew your license I was able to renew this morning and get on line asap http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I hope you get your issue resolved. It is happening alot with ppl that billing came due over holiday weekend http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif good luck to ya from sweet Candi

Yeah... same thing happened to me when I tried renewing it. I just cancelled the BB account right away, and then I waited for them both to be cancellede. Then I got things back up and running again.
And on a side note... is Sega being sexist? >.> Helping out girls before guys or something? >.> It took 2 days for my account to work again and someone else gets theirs up and running in just a few hours? Puzzling...

Been waiting for over a week now for them to change my country in the debit card details >_> Its the only thing that only they have to change and they're not changing it. ITS ONE THING TO CHANGE AND THEY DON'T BOTHER. I CAN'T REACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT!!!!! I wish they'd start acting maturely, all of thistrouble they're making is pathetic.

I received a reply e-mail a day after I sent in my e-mails. They listed the transaction they attempted as an invalid transaction, giving me a chance to cancel my Phantasy Star Universe account. After I cancelled my account, I waited 10 minutes for the cancellation to process, then re-registered using the same debit card I used before.
Was back on my feet in less than 15 minutes. Everyone who was having the Error 65 problem, MAKE SURE TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION FIRST, WAIT FOR THE CANCELLATION TO PROCESS, AND THEN RENEW IT TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.
