View Full Version : I did so bad on my pre-calc test!

O jeebies...o my!

What to do
What to do

I came into the class 3 weeks late, and my first test was kind of rough and tumble(barely passed it with a 65)and now I don't think I got over a 75 on my quiz today! It's been six weeks and there have only been 3 grades in the whole class!

I know all the formulas but I ran into a tiny problem and FREAKED OUT, that was my biggest mistake. I know I could have used the matrix function on my calculator but I thought I was doing it wrong, but I wasn't! I'll definitely get the work credit for the problem but I won't get the answer credit. The second part of the quiz I think I did OK on, I remembered how to properly use the matrix stuff but I had already turned in my first part D:.

I already told my parents my mid-quarter grade wouldn't be so great but I still feel bad for it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif.

Don't be soo much of a perfectionist, it can halt your entire thinking process during a test.

Don't do it right away. Go back to it later, take your time, all that good stuff.

Or you can just cheat.

But math is a revenger if there ever was one. He'll come back to get you later, when you least expect it.

Well it was a 2 part quiz. You had to do the first part to do the second. And the problem I had was on the first part and I didn't compose myself until I had the second part!

All I had was a graphing calculator and a paperback copy of Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe! I needed my pen to write so I couldn't use that!

Anyway, look for some supplementary material to help you whilst online.

I don't need help with the procedures and formulas, my problem was that I freaked out.

Wimp, I'm not allowed to use a graphing calculator for my course. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And you freaked out because your prolly forgot the procedures and formulas while taking the test, right? This wouldn't hurt you and may give you an easier way of doing the problems.

Maybe you should spend more time studying than wasting time here... lol

Don't worry its just pre-calc. Regular calc is much easier.

My last math class (not in one now), we were allowed to use graphing calcs, but we usually only used them for the arithmetic. I have no idea how I would have passed that class without my calculator because halfway through the course most of my friends couldn't add properly http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

No, I was freaking out because I didn't want to freak out and get another bad grade... D:

Big whoop, you get to do useless drawn out work instead of using tools available to you.

*EDIT* And if anyone was wondering I was pretty whacked out when I made this topic.

And in the process of freaking out and not wanting a bad grade guess what you did...forgot stuff! It's okay it happens to everyone. It wouldn't hurt you to seek help. >_>

Every try blanking out everything but what's in front of you? Don't even think of it as a test. That usually helps.

mizukage
Oct 13, 2007, 08:22 PM
You blanked-out during a pre-calc test? Well, my advice is that whenever you do such pre-calc tests, just think of it as doing a S-rank mission on AOI and I don't see how you will freak out over that.. Just think of your grades as the S-rank rewards or something. Does it help you?

Okay, I know this is a bad comparison, but this is a forum on PSU and PSO. What else do people expect?

People to play along with the jokes about the game these forums are for. Also PSYOU jokes aren't common in the FKL.

Read an article about Quizno's ruining this guy's life. No profit, having to buy even soap from Quizno's main distributor all within the same company chain.

Dude shot himself in the bathroom.

That's 2 threads now Dizzy! Unless you don't count the other one because my woodshop buddy didn't die.
