The commonly accepted belief on this forum is that the expansion will be released on November 20th. Since I've yet to see an official statement from Sega regarding the release date, I'd like to know how people came up with November 20th (and why they're so sure of it).

if you go on ign.com that is the release date that they have for it, not sure if it's official but untill it is announced by sega, thats what we are going by.

The general consensus is Nov. 20th if no delays occur.

Good morning. I read this date in the official Xbox magazine, November 20th, 2007

GameStop shows the 11/20 release date on their website, and also in their pre-release binders. The SEGA official site merely states a "Fall 2007" release, but I'm fairly confident that the 11/20 date will stick, since it hasn't changed since it was revealed early this year.

I believe Nov. 20 was the date retail stores were told of from Sega reps (or however game stores get their arbetrary dates). I first heard of it from a pso-world poster citing his sources from a wallmart.

I guess i can second this, but if you call the store, they'll say that the in-stock date is Nov20, but the actually buy-able date is Nov21. At least thats what me and my friend were told.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. GameStop's dates are all shipping dates, not street dates. Sometimes they give a street date for a game if it's big enough.

Generally the game is out on GameStop's shelves the day after the date they display on their website and in their binders.

Gamespot, IGN, Walmart.... seems like all the big carriers are listing it as 11/20.

I remember seeing a screenshot of a GM saying AoI would be released on 11/20. I know that's not a legally-binding document or anything, but at least it came from a GM and is not a rumor started by players.

Yea, Chill said 11/20, he then later said on the boards that it was the date he saw at wallmart. =P

They like to play the "wait and see" card whenever they can.

Sega also grouped Moatoob with Parum to shorten our 1up cup from 5 to 4 weeks so that it would end in time for AoI.

November 20th is actually the shipping date. Stores wouldn't have it until the next day, so.. November 21st is the release date.

And no, you won't find it at Wal-Mart.

All the places that you can perorder in the USA have 11-20 as the shipping date. Since that is so soon you'd think we would know by now if there was a delay to the pc/ps2 version.

The GM helper-bot said that AoI went gold (meaning it's complete) for the English version. Also he stated that they already started making shipments.

Sega of America had never officially stated a release date other than "Fall 2007". Ever since I discovered the expansion AOI for PSU and checked, the release date "Nov. 20" seems to be the same everywhere and haven't changed since then. And so, I assume its going to be Nov. 20th of 2007 if there will be no delays. However, I am guessing that there will be a possible one-day delay in which the store purchase date would be Nov. 21, 2007. I could be wrong though.

well the 20th is a tuesday, which is when most games are released(dont ask me why, just going on personal memory) so if a lot of places are saying the 20th,then that likely is a very safe bet.

woo hoo finally a release date!

Well..a LOT of places are listing the release date as 11/20 (for when it ships out) and 11/21 the street date. So...why haven't we heard something from SEGA themselves?

Simple. They're not good at letting people know their new game is coming out soon. I forgot the proper term, but..they've never been good at this kind of thing.

For those of you familiar with the sales for the game "Yakuza" in the States, you'll know where I'm going with this.

So, in the end, it doesn't surprise me that we haven't heard anything regarding the date, about this title.

EDIT: I think the term is, "localizing". I was just basically pointing out that SoA has never been good at getting the word out that a new title is coming out. People have to be involved with SEGA's projects in order to know what's coming out.

Unlike Japan where there was TONS of things everywhere letting you know that AOI was going to be released soon.

All I have to say is there better not be any shipping delays on this - I'm sure as heck not going out for this on Black Friday.

Edit: Actually I probably would... at least then the stores will be open early, LOL
