Okay, I recently had the chance to try Moatoob's mission in some random party. I only did this on A. On two attempts, I got a 5 and then a 6. >_<

I have a feeling it'll be less of a pain in the arse than the Parum mission, but it has Maggas as the boss and if it teleports too damn much you aint getting a good time. There's quite a bit of splitting up that seems to be needed...and I suck at explaining things so I'll just quit here and try to collect my thoughts.

A challenging mission? In my PSU?

I'm there.

Maybe get a few gunners for the Maggas fight?

Mootoob was tough, there's a chip behind some fake rocks and a chip you can get if you pass the friendship trail.

Having a hard time finding all the chips.

Hflowen: are you refering to the fake rocks in the U shaped room with the laser fences? We didnt find one there last time. Are we suppose to kill the doods there for the chip to pop?

And for the friendship chip, I'm assuming if you get past the area, a teleporter will spawn to take you to the one you see near the end correct?

How do you complete the friendship part? Everyone sticks close to the person designated as the friend?

For the last part, only the person specified sticks close to the other specified person. But yea having trouble on 3rd chip.

No... wasn't the laser fences. I just remember the party going into a big room then someone turned around and saw a chip. The rocks blocking the way to it are fake.

And the computer tells someone to stick close to the leader, thats how that part works.

Chip locations are as follows.

1st Chip: Block one Desert, Behind rock in room that warp leads you to.

2nd Chip: Block 2, Behind rock after the 3 switch door.

3rd Chip: Block 3, Pass Friendship test then enter warp on the left side.

EDIT:

This is based off of a rough estimate from scoring 10 on C and doing other runs on A and scoring less than that. In anycase, in order to get 10 points you must do the following.

Complete under 22 Mins, kill 90+ enemies, and of course get all 3 chips.

Man I've been running this on A rank with some peeps and we've still yet to get past 6 points.

We've had 90+ kills 93 i think, all 3 chips, and cleared in under 23 minutes. 22:16 i believe. Anyone have any luck with this?

It has to be under 22 mins. to get 10 points.

93 kills, under 25 mins and 3 chips is 10 points in A rank I have been getting this myself I can put a screenshot up. You've probably been getting 92 kills, that would be 8/10 points

EDIT: Maybe under 22 mins, I've been doing well under that but as long as you get 5 points for time you're "capped" there, it's the 2 points of monsters that you are probably missing

FYI, there is a guide in the Guide section.

And yeah, all of the monsters kicked my butt on B. Especially the Diga/fire breathing ones. The boss completely sucked and took forever to kill, moreso when we destroyed his bottom half and none of my good spells could reach him anymore. The switches, the friendship, etc. etc., it all sucked. Definitely not going to be able to make level 1 characters to get more Rappy Feathers with that mission.

This mission really isn't that hard. Maybe if you're in a team of say.. 4 melee types, yeah. THEN it'd be hard. If anything, at least have 1 Techer and 1 Ranger, or 2 Rangers even. SE + Traps, can't go wrong. Plus, long-range for Maggas.

That works with friends I guess, sure as heck doesn't work with that zoo of players in the dance club spamming their brains out like the ball is dropping on New Years Eve in NYC.

Me and my friends are having troubles getting a perfect score on this one

We can get the chips, beat the time limit, but we only get 92 kills tops, is there some backtracking somewhere we're missing? <_>

Bah, it was the Lapucha behind secret wall in B3, damn you Lapucha http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

The robot is soooooooooo easy! I can see it sucking for fighters but Force and Rangers should never ever have a problem

What weapon would you suggest for rangers against maga? Grenades?

DarkShadowX
Oct 20, 2007, 02:07 PM
A rifle or laser are good against Magas

Rifle all the way. Shoot Boss dead center in that little open stomache area or the Left and Right Circle Sholder blades of his back are the most sensitive
