Possible for boss box to be empty?

So I just beat alterwhateverdragon, and I break all the boxes and one of them is empty. I couldn't have picked up either since my inventory was full and a couple of steps away.

Anyone ever seen an empty boss box? No invisible items, just plain empty.

I've never seen an empty boss/goal box myself. Maybe it was a glitch, or maybe the expansion (Aruteratsugoug in the expansion, right?) changed that... or maybe it's just a personal oversight of some sort. Hard to say without more accounts of this happening.

Can't say I've seen one. I always thought they had a 100% drop rate...weird.

First time it happened to me. I'm guessing it must be some AoI glitch of some sort.

Nope. A really sucky patch note to see now that you've experienced this would be something along the lines of "an issue that caused synthesis boards of 13*+ quality to fail to appear from breaking crates has been addressed."
